We are a local, family owned and operated restaurant & bar with patio and bar seating, as well as conventional full-service restaurant seating. Our owners are Michelle & Raymond Smith. Michelle has many years experience in the restaurant industry and Raymond is a 23-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force. We serve fresh food to order, including, appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, soups, salads, pizzas; and dinner entrees, including, steaks, beef, chicken, seafood, and pork. Some of our menu items are Portuguese recipes handed down from the owner’s mother and grandmother. Other recipes are local and family favorites. We strive to provide excellent guest service in a clean, sanitary, comfortable, fun, and welcoming environment.

This place is a true hidden gem! We had multiple items and they were all delicious! We had the pesto tortellini, The potato leek soup, the polenta bites. The house salad with The burnt lemon vinaigrette dressing, chicken marsala, and five cheese lasagna. Everything is a hit. We will definitely be back. and our waitress was just the sweetest!

We have our usual places to eat but decided we wanted to try something different. We ended up at The Lucky Rooster and are so glad we did. First, we love supporting small businesses. Second, the food was awesome! Especially the pizza and hand breaded chicken tenders. And Third, everyone was so nice. The owner even came and talked to us. Be sure to check it out. I had the Walleye and my companion had the Cod. The Walleye was great, and my companion said it was better than the cod, but the cod was very good. Made a sandwich plus had more left over. Fries and coleslaw were very good. Garden salad was very fresh! Yellow cake with Pineapple filling for dessert, yum! Full bar and slots rounded out our visit. St. Jacob’s little hidden gem!

The food is awful. The hamburger was burned like charcoal, the mac n cheese was overcooked, the collards were salty, the meatloaf was burnt. I refuse to pay for food you can’t eat. My first and last time. Need to fire the cook. Very rude and the service was very unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend this place to a dog. I drove from St Louis to eat here. Great country diner/restaurant. Found our way to the lucky Rooster after visiting family. Hadn’t been there in a while. The food was great. My wife chose a craft pizza, pictured within. I had the awesome spaghetti, great on a cold evening. The dining room was full but the waitress was efficient in taking care of us. Great evening with family and The Rooster helped make it happen. Found this lil eating joint today and their food is amazing I had the lucky clucker and the wife had their mushroom Swiss burger that is a half pound burger. Definitely will be coming back again well worth the drive

A hidden gem we stumbled upon while traveling home. Definitely worth a stop or a special day trip. We enjoyed hand made burgers, we are looking forward to trying their fried chicken. We heard it is the best!

Great food menu and large beer selection. The full menu is available until 8 PM and the bar menu has good options for pizza and appatizers until close. The pizza and wings were great but we’ll be back for the Friday fish fry.
There is a nice game room separate from the bar and dining area that we’ll check out on our next visit.
