We stopped in for a couple of beers the week of Christmas and enjoyed ourselves. The men working in the bar and kitchen were helpful. We didn’t get food this time, but maybe in our next visit. A casual local place to get watered and fed.

Family went here after getting off the ferry. We were seated quickly. Our server (sub in)was funny and had great hospitality with answering any questions we had,and her son finished off being our server for the night he was just as nice. We ordered and rated out of 10 next to(pictured) classic tavern burger 8, halibut and coleslaw 8(coleslaw a little too dry), patty melt 9, dip burger 9(amazing au jus flavor), patty melt 8.

I ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich (crispy) with sweet potatoe fries and loved it! My partner got the Southwest burger with onion rings and he was happy with his meal as well. Both meals came out hot and tasted good.

What more can I say about Orcas Islands Lower Tavern. I’m giving it 5 stars the reason being atmosphere and service also outstanding food served each and every day reasonably price no hard liquor a great selection of local brews on tap. I enjoyed the prawn tacos on Tuesday delicious wow. There soups and salads my fave is the chicken Cesar with blue cheese and buffalo sauce sweet and tangy wow wow. The service is outstanding great regulars that come there I feel at home to see the same people and enjoy watching Seahawks on Sunday with my Seahawks buddy’s outstanding. Hope 2023 we’ll be able to get another great season and hope we get to the Superbowl again been a long time. They know me as RubenTheCuban if your visiting or are a local who never been here I recommend you come and enjoy this great Lower Tavern it’s everything I would want in enjoying great food and fantastic service and great locals it’s my place always here’s to you my friends.

Decent food at reasonable prices. The fries were great! But it’s really the staff that made this place shine. Not only was every single person we interacted with kind but they were all really funny too. Very cheeky. Charming atmosphere.

Typical bar / restaurant serving food and spirits. I had chicken wings which were big and meaty with a large portion of veggies on the side. Wife had fish & chips which was heavy on the chips. All in all not bad. Would go back.

This was a really tasty meal. We were looking for places that were open on Easter Sunday, and this was an unexpected surprise.
The salmon burger was great, and you get a choice between crispy and baked chicken on the BBQ salad. And it’s not on the menu, but they have a gluten free bun available too.
Overall, it’s worth a visit if you’re in the mood for pub food.

For $20 a plate it should be more than burnt black bacon and half a hamburger patty. Service was terrible people who sat after us got their food ate and left before we were even served. Such a waste of $$$
