Five stars! The Lotus Den is our favorite spot when visiting Myrtle Beach since they opened mid-2025! It’s always a great vibe: the decor, live music on Thursday, the craft cocktails, and yummy tapas. The pot stickers are worth 5 stars alone! I also enjoy the meatballs, bread dipper, and the fig flatbread (though you can’t go wrong with any flatbread). The espresso martini is fabulous and service is always consistent and reliable. Go see Tiffany, Jordan, Kaysa, and Logan at the bar, you won’t regret it!

Had brunch at the new Lotus Den restaurant located in the Old Crave restaurant building. The new owners, brother and sister opened the restaurant so their parents could live out a dream of having a restaurant of their own. Their health is declining so it was important to get this up and running as quickly as possible.

It’s a great story but we’re the food and drinks any good?

The answer is yes! We started with the Brie appetizer and it was oooey gooey goodness. I love the fried pita chips as well. The quiche and truffle fries were also good especially the hand cut aspect for the fries. The fruit and yogurt parfaits were stunning and tasted as good as they looked! Not too sweet and the fresh fruit with granola was very pleasant to the taste buds. The quail eggs with potatoes I probably wouldn’t order again. The only dish that just didn’t wow me. The crab dip though… this may be one of the best crab dips in town! The pancakes with fresh fruit and from scratch whipped cream were simple yet elevated. The whipped topping tasted luxurious. I may be missing something because all I can think about is slathering that crab dip onto the chorizo and egg burrito and thinking how perfect that combo was.

If you haven’t been I would add it to your list. Brunch on Saturday/Sundays only starting at 10am.

I am really looking forward to going back for dinner tapas! If you went and something is a MUST try comment below! Oh and the Espresso Martini was really good especially if you don’t care for the creamy addition when some restaurants add Baileys, etc. they also make the Espresso from scratch everyday so it’s not bitter. Espresso Martini snobs add this place to the top of your list!

Disappointing. The location used to be home to an Italian restaurant with a free standing wood burning pizza oven and Italian decor. The “Lotus Den” name doesnt scream Italian yet pretty much the interior of the restaurant decor was unchanged. The name and the tapas idea lead us to believe the menu options would be kind of Asian/ oriental/tropical. Nope. It was basically bar appetizers trying to come off as something else…and it didnt work. Offering flatbreads? Oh right, because of the wood burning pizza oven. What??? When you hear “lotus” does your mind say “flatbread”? Mine either. The first big red flag were the cocktails. All their “Lotus Libations” (cocktails) have lotus juice or syrup. It doesnt add anything to the drink but it seems by having it in a basic drink it gets transformed into a speciality cocktail here. Tried the “Nectar of the Underworld”. The best part of the drink was its name. It was a well drink by most bar standards. And a weak one at that. Our first tapas dish we ordered was our last. Tried the Zuke Fritters. The best part of them was the house made dill ranch dressing that came with them. There were 4 fritters made from shredded zucchini which were fried and basically tasteless. While we had hoped to try several dishes and stay for a meal we quickly decided this wasnt tapas; this was average get anywhere bar food appetizers which we didnt want. Asked for the check which the server brought with 8 (yes 8) different itemized taxes listed! $45 for 2 drinks and 4 zucchini fritters?!!!! We wont be back.

Lotus Den in Myrtle Beach is such a vibe! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and laid-back with great live music that really sets the tone for the night. Jordan was absolutely amazing—friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better.
The craft cocktails were creative and perfectly made, and the sticky ribs were hands-down a must-order—tender, flavorful, and seriously addictive. Everything came together for an awesome night out with great food, drinks, and music. We’ll definitely be back!

I had an amazing experience here with my family, and I must say I will definitely be returning soon! I tried the Shishito Peppers as an appetizer and they were cooked very well and the sweet sesame soy sauce it paired perfectly together. I then followed that up with a Pepperoni Flatbread, which when made in the older style pizza oven enhanced the flavor to be probably the best pizza I’ve ever had from a restaurant such as this. I tried one of my brother’s West Coast Sliders and must say that the toasted bun mixed with the garlic aioli creates an amazing compact flavor in every bite that I had. We finished off the night with the Macarons which were smaller than I had expected, however, they made up with the amount of flavor that is packed into everyone of the Macarons. All in all it was a fantastic experience, right before leaving we talked with the one of the owners and he is an amazing person to converse with! 10/10 I recommend you visit here if you ever get a chance!

A friend and I met here to celebrate our birthdays. We choose a different place each year to celebrate since we share the same month. Chad greeted us as soon as we entered the restaurant. It has a nice layout of booths, high-top tables, regular tables and a bar. We sat at a booth. We started with the Persephone’s Pleasure which was served in a fancy old fashioned glass, it had a delicious fruit flavor that leaves a kiss of lychee on your tongue. We shared the truffle fries, fresh handcut fries made this dish perfect. The flatbread was cooked just right, thin but able to support the toppings, the honey and balsamic drizzle were a delicious pairing. I also had the ribs which fell apart as I was eating them. The sauce was a sticky sweet, rich masterpiece. The fresh pineapple salsa was a delicious compliment to the ribs and the bed of rice they were served on. My friend enjoyed the scallops which were cooked perfectly, as was the risotto it was served on. To finish off the night we had the tiramisu, which was light but had the perfect coffee flavor that is sometimes missed when trying to make a good tiramisu, and the limoncello, which had just enough lemon tart and the white chocolate top gave it a smooth creamy finish. Everyone was extremely friendly, happy to offer recommendations during the meal and take our annual picture.

I went in last sat to watch the Nebraska football game. The place was beautifully decorated and the tv’s had the games on. My bartender Kaysa was great , she made me a pumpkin martini, which was awesome. She put my game on the tv closest to me which i appreciated. Tiffaney came over to make sure everything was great and gave me some appetizer suggestions. I opted for the meatballs, pot stickers and a meatball flatbread pizza. All were great and reasonably priced. The place has a fun vibe , everyone chatting with each other. I will def be back .
