5 Stars – A True Gem and Great Discovery!

I had the pleasure of visiting The Lot At Edgewater for the first time when I met up with some dear friends, and what a great find it turned out to be! From start to finish, everything about our experience hit the mark.

The restaurant itself is relatively new and has a beautifully designed interior with an open, airy layout. Sunlight pours in through large windows, creating a bright and cheerful atmosphere that feels both modern and welcoming. It’s clean, thoughtfully arranged, and spacious without losing that cozy charm. Our group of five fit perfectly and comfortably, but you can tell it can suit anything from a brunch date to a bigger celebration.

Our server, David VG, was outstanding, clearly living up to those “Very Good” initials! Friendly, attentive, and on top of everything without being intrusive. His service genuinely enhanced the overall experience. Thanks, David!

Now, on to the food, which absolutely blew me away. Everything was served hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The portions were very generous; if you walk away hungry, it’s your own fault! The crab bisque deserves its own moment of praise, hands down, the best I’ve ever had. David even shared that it’s so beloved, the restaurant doesn’t even bother offering a second soup. Trust me, they don’t need to.

For our entrees, we had a mix of four sandwiches and one breakfast dish, and every single plate was a hit. Generous, flavorful, and satisfying. We wrapped up the meal with a shared order of beignets, which were awesome but an enormous portion, we almost couldn’t finish them… but we dug deep and made it happen! Soft, warm, and dusted in sugar paired with both a chocolate and mixed berry jam, the perfect sweet finale.

In summary: If you’re local, this should already be in your rotation. And if you’re within an hour’s drive, make the trip, you won’t regret it. The Lot At Edgewater is a fresh, delicious, and genuinely enjoyable spot that’s definitely worth your time. I will absolutely be back!

We did make reservations which I highly recommend, especially if you have a larger party.

We recently moved to Penn Hills and have made quick work of checking out every bar and restaurant in a 2 mile radius of our little MCM house, so tonight was for The Lot.

Excellent experience — the food was really good and the portions sizeable (we took a doggy bag to go that will serve for tomorrow night’s meal in). This place is one of those upscale casual spots, where you’ll see patrons range from ladies in full makeup and tracksuits to someone like me, who overdresses for the grocery store. Fortunately, no one made me feel weird about my vintage fur. 😉

Our server was efficient, friendly, but not overly ebullient, which is fine if you’re giving good service and doing what you need to do. I felt a weird urge to win her approval though, which I chalk up to the fact that I’m a people- pleasing elder millennial. But I digress. My partner’s steak was cooked to perfection, our shared apps flavorful and well plated without being fussy, and the drinks were good, though I must admit I found Hubby’s smoked whiskey cocktail a bit on the sweet side. I blame the suburban crowd and their insatiable hunger for glucose. :))

I am not someone who you could pay to give a shit about sports, but if you are, you’re in luck — big screens showing tennis, basketball, and ice hockey just on the random Tuesday night we were here. And a tv-free back patio if you don’t want that, either.

Overall, absolutely lovely place to go. Nice atmosphere, easy to park, very easy to make a reservation online, efficient service, great staff. There’s a cigar bar we have yet to check out, so we’ll be doing that next time we come in. I’ll probably skip the fur on that visit.

Brunch or dinner is always great here.

It’s a little pricey, but the food is delicious and the portions are generous.

Crispy pancakes are perfect and plate sized! They reheat well too.
The lamb is my favorite for dinner.

The AYCE crab legs are amazing! My friends both had steaks and were very pleased. The potatoes are beyond words!! The pork belly appetizer is also worth trying. I can’t wait to go there in the summer, they have a huge patio space.

Had a great time at The Lot at Edgewater. We rolled in with a group of 12, and everyone was happy with their food, which is saying something. The Cream of Crab Soup was an easy 10/10—rich, creamy, and loaded with crab. Definitely one of the best I’ve had.

Everything else we tried was solid, too. The menu has a good mix, and the food came out fresh and well-cooked. No complaints from anyone at the table, which doesn’t happen often with a big group.

Overall, it was a great spot with great food. Definitely worth checking out, and I’d go back just for that crab soup.

A most enjoyable dinner! The atmosphere under the awning is magical. The food was delicious and the Chef’s presentations were each a visual experience. Service was fast, friendly, informative, and attentive. (Service from the bar was a little slower than anticipated but not a spoiler.) Special orders – I asked if Chef would prepare my calamari without breading and it was perfect! Visiting from Clearwater and will definitely come back again when in Pittsburgh.

I was told this place was pretty good. The person I went with, has gone several times and always raves about it. Unfortunately, unless it was a single bad night, their food is trash. The cooks absolutely ruined a $55 cut of meat, The crab stuffed lobster tail tasted like soap inside overcooked lobster. And if it counts for anything after all that when the manager came over, it was clear he was high as a kite. after the entrée being garbage and ruining a dinner date for two people, they still had the nerve to charge $75 for a glass of wine, brussels sprouts and a few oysters. Perhaps I’m wrong and that’s fair if I am, but as the manager, you would think you just wiped the bill and and charge that one to the game. But no $75 for brussels sprouts oysters, a glass of Coke and a glass of wine. Completely outrageous. I’ve had better foods out of the worst McDonald’s I’ve been to. Waste of money.

It’s me again. First, let’s get this out of the way…..The food is very good. The waitstaff is excellent. The main reason for any high review!
The charge for credit card use is 1.5% to 3.5%. Why do you charge your patrons 4%? Why are the restrooms cold (in winter)? Why is the main dining room cold? (in winter)?
And my MAIN BEEF is, why can’t you spring for some long sleeved thermal shirts in Navy Blue with your logo on it for your servers. You keep buying up restaurants. I can guarantee you, the long sleeved T’s are a lot cheaper!

The lot at Edgewater is a solid and convenient option in Pittsburgh. It’s easy to access and well-located, making it a great choice whether you’re visiting the area or parking for work or an event nearby. The space is generally clean and well-maintained, with clear layout and reasonable room to park without feeling cramped.

One of the biggest advantages is the location—close to major roads and nearby destinations, which saves time and hassle. The area feels safe, and overall it’s a reliable place to park when you need something straightforward and stress-free.

Their food is amazing and is really worth your money. There pancakes are ginormous, there waffles are cooked perfectly, and it has great options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

I’d definitely recommend the Edgewater lot to anyone looking for a convenient and dependable parking option in Pittsburgh.
