This reincarnation of the Dallas original features a sprawling patio with a pool table, comfy seating out front, open seating, a full bar, and large TVs inside. Now celebrating 25 years in Dallas because the service is legendary, the drinks are stiff & affordable, and there’s a compact menu with daily specials of casual eats (tacos, bologna sandwiches, pizza). The Loon feels like a stable in the neighborhood. It’s a no frills place, in a relaxed, good kind of way. The food was good. The drinks are reasonably priced. As long as you’re not expecting fancy cocktail bar cocktails, you won’t be disappointed. Just a local hangover place.

This bar & grill creates a wonderful sense of community in the uptown area. After walking by numerous times, I finally decided to try their brunch on a Sunday – and I was not disappointed. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla and a mimosa pitcher and they were delicious. I appreciate that you can watch the game indoors or outdoors. The waiter was friendly, and the atmosphere at the bar was welcoming. If you are in the neighborhood, this place is a must try.

This has become a neighborhood favorite of mine over the past year. The staff are some of the kindest people, food is great, patio is amazing, vibes 10/10, really love this place.

Also, Jesse the manager is the best. You can really tell how much the team here cares about the restaurant, their customers, each other, and the neighborhood. Love the Loon <3

I sat at the bar and was taken care of immediately, the bartender recommended the spicy lemon pepper wings and they were delicious! The vibe in here is great, not your typical uptown vibe which was nice, they had the game playing on multiple TV’s so it was nice to enjoy some wings and watch the game!
