Absolutely amazing experience! DOG-FRIENDLY. We were traveling with our dog, and she was even given her own metal water bowl.
Our server was a very kind, intelligent, and soft-spoken young woman with excellent manners.
The food was delicious. We ordered a party tray with veggies and hummus, which was excellent, and tried several different burgers — every single one was fantastic. I would highly recommend this place.
One note: since this spot is affiliated with the University of Idaho, you can’t add a tip to your card at checkout. If you’d like to tip your server, be sure to bring some cash.

We just had the best dinner at the Lookout restaurant at the UI golf course. We sat outside on the patio with the best view on the Palouse. Jack was our server and he was awesome. Took great care of us and we enjoyed appetizers, a salad, burgers, dessert and great huckleberry Lemon Drops! We will be back.

There are lots of items on the menu here that you can’t get elsewhere in town. I was impressed with the service and cocktails. My hot drink was topped with a phenomenal homemade whipped cream, and the pour was generous. I appreciated the presentation and attention to detail of my dessert. I would recommend stopping by for a drink and dessert after work, or for brunch after a morning at the arboretum or golf course.

This is a pretty basic café rather than restaurant or you can sit outside or look through the window at the golf course. The food is pretty basic. The tables are bare. This felt to me like a missed opportunity to create a really special dining experience right here in the golf course.

Atmosphere not what I expected. Which is a shame given the location and potential view. The weekday menu was used for Saturday dinner, so again, not what we were expecting having read the menu ahead of arriving. The service, with only 2 small parties, mostly 1, while we were there, was subpar (yes, take the pun). My chicken and garlic mashed potatoes were great. My beer was great. My guests BLTs being served without mayo, despite the description on the menu, baffling, given the staff of two stood around visitingoat of the time. I probably won’t be back, but do thank you for the attempt!

The food is good, I’ve been here many times and ordered a variety of things and never been disappointed. The service is lacking. The waiter that consistently is placed in charge of our table refuses to write anything down which results in me repeating my order at least three times, and on one occasion led to me not getting my food until an hour after I ordered.
