Tips From A Bellman
I came here a few nights ago for the first time with my son and daughter-in-law. I recently moved to Mustang and I’m a Foodie. They said this was one of the better restaurants in town. It was busy when we came in for dinner and took a hightop since the other tables were filled and didn’t feel like waiting. We started out with the Bacon Onion Dip. It was cheesy goodness with kettle chips. I highly recommend this for an appetizer. I would be cool with having a beer and this watching a game. I love deviled eggs and they told me they do fried deviled eggs , but they said they were kind of plain , nothing like I make at home. Of course a week after moving here I had to make them a plate of mine.
I had the Bison Meatloaf with Mashed Potatoes and Onion Rings. It came with 2 pieces , one being the butt end and it was the best and tastiest piece. The brown gravy was the right thickness , not runny , and good flavor. Onion Rings were good also. I’ve loved bison/buffalo for a few years now since I first had it in Montana. My daughter in law had the Bison Burger. It was not bad , but I’ve had better. My son had the Cheesesteak and he and I both thought it was a letdown. We had a few places in Vegas where we used to live that were so good and authentic. The meat was chopped in very fine pieces , not shaved or chopped bigger and hardly any green peppers , just tiny slivers. Also not a lot of seasoning , kind of plain tasting. Fries were okay.
The service was pretty good for it to be as busy as it was. The server did forget our extra ranch and my daughter in law asked for guacamole on the side and she forgot that too. She did apologize and we weren’t charged for it. I think it’s a nice restaurant and I’m sure I will return again another day. It’s very popular.

Helping are large, you could easily split many of their menu item. Service is friendly but a bit slow on refills. Restaurant is clean with a large selection on tasty item. Ill go back.

Had the bacon , guacamole Burger with added onions, on the marble rye bread. Onion Rings as the side. The Burger more than filled the large slices of rye bread. Cooked to perfection. Probably the best burger I have had in Oklahoma. If you are in Mustang, you need to try this place. I did a carry out, but the parking was ok.

The Lokal is becoming one of our go to eateries as we continue to explore the menu. This time, I tried and loved the Indian Taco and we also had the sirloin steak with green beans and mac and cheese. Thumbs up to all. And couldn’t resist getting their dessert cheesecakes!

I got a burger with the buffalo patty. It was cooked well and it tasted good. However it didn’t taste too much different from a beef burger. I was hoping there would be more of a ‘gamey’ taste to it.
The fries were excellent. I hate the fries most restaurants serve, but the fries at Lokal we’re so good. They were flavorful, crispy on the outside, and light and fluffy on the inside.
Service was very good too.

IT WAS MY 1ST TIME HERE & THE FOOD & SERVICE WAS TOP NOTCH 5 STAR! BROOKLYN WAS OUR WAITRESS & SHE WAS PHENOMENAL!! THEY EVEN HAVE HOT WATER IN THE BATHROOM! I WAS SURPRISED WHEN I WASHED UP BEFORE I ORDERED!! VERY CLEAN ESTABLISHMENT!! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!! I WULL BE BACK TO TRY ANOTHER MEAL SRLECTION!!
