The food was delicious and our server was very nice. She checked on us often to make sure we were OK. I ordered the Loft Burger with fries and my husband ordered the Chicken Parm Pasta, both of our meals were very good. My burger was huge. My husband’s chicken and the potato were both huge. The potato was cooked perfectly. We also ordered the mozzarella sticks, I don’t remember what they were called on their menu. I forgot to take a photo of that side of the menu. They were SO good. You could make a meal our of those. They were huge. You got three of those. We were visiting from out of town and the restaurant was recommended to us by someone at the Laurel Mercantile. It was a wonderful suggestion, the best restaurant we ate at while we were in Laurel.

The food in general was fabulous. The crab cakes were the best I have had anywhere in the country. The coffee crusted burger was absolute perfection and cooked exactly as asked. The shrimp bang bang po boy was delicious and could not be beat even in New Orleans.
Our server, Cassidy, was phenomenal from getting me a fruit skewer for my beer to orchestrating our meal so the timing was perfect.

Came to visit Laurel on New Year’s Eve and this joint is just about the only restaurant that’s open. Should’ve thought about this before making the 7 hours drive. lol
BUT, the food is awesome!! Given it’s the only place opened, the wait is about 40 min at 6:30pm. We had the crab cake stack for appetizer and whatever they put in the sauce is AMAZING!! When we were looking at the menu, the table next to us had a big fat chunk of pork chop and the lady gave us the thumbs up claiming it’s the best item on the menu, so that’s what the husband ordered. No kidding it’s hands down the BEST pork chop we ever had!! It’s about an inch and some thick and it’s cooked perfectly and juicy all the way. I had the blackened red fish and the flavor is wonderful.
If we ever come back to Laurel we will definitely stop again!

Had to stop in Laurel to see the town that Ben and Erin made famous on their HGTV show. I researched local restaurants for dinner and The Loft was a clear winner.
While visiting some of the local shops, everyone that we mentioned The Loft to couldn’t say give it enough praise calling out specific menu items that were their favorites.
It did not disappoint! We enjoyed crab cakes as an appetizer and then we each had a steak (prime rib for me and filet for her). Both were cooked and seasoned perfectly.
Our server Jasmine was very attentive and quick to get anything we needed. A musician just a few feet away playing folksy covers was quite good and only loud enough to create a nice background ambiance. Can’t wait to come back to Laurel and experience other items on the menu!

Absolutely fabulous experience. Food was absolutely delicious and priced reasonably. Had the 14oz Ribeye and Fried large Gulf shrimp. Both cooked to perfection and seasoned just right! Also had crab cakes and fried green tomatoes with a delicious reumalade sauce! Also has a absolutely delicious peach sangria drink with peach schnapps rum and fruit (yummy!). Atmosphere was also excellent Place has the feel of an upscale restaurant with reasonable prices. If you want delicious steak and seafood this is the place! Reservation only and they go fast! Wait staff and hostess are very nice folks who try hard to please as well!!

Food was delicious, atmosphere was nice…we sat by the window looking out onto the patio area, service was excellent. Only complaint was the tables finish is coming up so even though they cleaned it really well everything sticks to the table. Redo those tables or put cloth over them maybe?

Since most of the town roles up the sidewalks at 5pm. This place is one of two or three that are open at night. Great location in a funky building.
The food here is top-notch. Boss Lady and I eat at a couple of the local eateries, and this one was one of the better ones.
She ordered the steak salad, (delicious) and I had the starter shrimp pizza. Both were tasty, although the pizza crust could have been crunchier. The bar drinks are good, and not too expensive. The live musician was good but couldn’t hear him that well.

What a great place! Sat outside in the patio, they had fans going so it wasn’t too hot. Hailey was my server and was great! I had the Roxanne fish with a salad and the potatoes casserole. The fish was cooked beautifully and very flavorful. The potatoes casserole was super yummy, and yes I did finish it the casserole.

We visited The Loft on a Tuesday early evening. We arrived at 5:00 when the restaurant opens. At that time a line was forming, but we had no problem securing a table.
The menu has various steaks, seafood, chicken, and pasta dishes to choose from. I chose a rib eye steak and fried shrimp dinner, and my wife ordered grilled chicken. My wife really enjoyed her chicken. I found the steak to be quite flavorful and cooked as ordered. The shrimp was a nice addition, but the steak was the star. My wife’s meal came with vegetables and mine came with a baked potato. I enjoyed the potato, although I would have preferred the skin to be crispy.
The atmosphere at The Loft is nice, with dimmed lighting and rustic decor. Our server was excellent, refilling our beverages without prompting and checking on our table several times throughout our meal. Our experience at The Loft was positive and I would recommend it for people in the Laurel area looking for a nice meal in a casual setting.
