My husband and I visited for the first time last night after saying for a year “we need to go”.

The atmosphere is beautiful and definitely gives an upscale lodge feel. We were greeted immediately and shown to our table. As soon as we were seated Amber was at table side to greet us and offer a welcome sip.
We were given the appropriate amount of time to look over them menu while our drink order went in. One of the things that I value as much as the quality of food is the quality of service. Amber throughout our meal checked on us but never intrusively so. We also had what I can assume was the floor manager check on us at least twice. Again, not intrusive, not too much. We felt valued and taken care of.

Now let’s talk about our meal. I ordered an old fashioned which was lovely and I appreciate the fact that the menu gave three great options for which bourbon/whisky would be best. Delicious.

The starter we chose the sweet potato croquettes (Six Sweet Potato Croquettes Fried, Served with a Maple Pecan Aioli, Shaved Apples, Crispy Prosciutto, and Cranberry Port Reduction) and all we can say is I wish I had the ability to make these at home for guests! These are unbelievably amazing.

Being our first time my husband wanted to try one of the steaks and I wanted to try a crafted entree.

He had the ribeye, which is prime cut and trimmed perfectly. Great taste, not over or under seasoned. I can appreciate they offer a variety of steak sauces but as any steak lover knows a perfect steak needs nothing else. And this didn’t need the sauce.

I had the braised short rib ravioli. This dish married the following- (12-Hour Braised Shredded Short Rib, Served on a bed of House-made Cranberry Ricotta Stuffed Ravioli Topped with Walnuts, Cremini Mushrooms, Spinach, Basil Oil, Freshly Grated Parmesan and a Cabernet Cream Sauce) in a perfect balance of slightly sweet and savory. A beautiful winter dish that was better than even I thought it could be.

We have absolutely no issue paying good money for a great culinary experience. Until last night we haven’t found a NOCO restaurant that really checked off all of our lists for a great restaurant. Congratulations Lodge, your entire staff from top to bottom knocked it out of the park! And an immense thank you to your chef and culinary team!

We will be back. We will bring friends. Definitely will recommend to everyone!

Once again The Lodge did not fail!

Lucas was at the ready with superb crafted beverages, that doubled as works of art!

Oh! Hot tip, be sure to ask him what his “secret menu” is for that day. I promise that is will be out of this world! I have yet to find a more suppior mixologist in NOCO!

McKenzie was great at suggesting which appetizers we should get, and the were terrific! (See photos) the entire staff is well informed, and personable! We always feel valued and welcomed!

Our dinner was just short of paradise! The short ribs, Halibut, and Group were all so delicious! All were perfectly paired with side dishes that accentuated the main dish. (See photos) None of the dishes had duplicat sides – how refreshing!

If I had to nitpick, it would be the desserts. They have not been com p arable to the rest of the experience.

You simply can’t go wrong I you visit!

We stopped by the lodge as first timers last night and we will definitely be returning. The views were beautiful, the atmosphere was vibey, all of the people that came to our table were kind and attentive. Our drinks were never empty. Our server Lauren never missed a beat either. I was only able to take a picture of the appetizer because our entres were delicious

My friend and I tried this place for the first time tonight. To say that it was amazing would be an understatement! Stephanie was stellar! The ambiance was on point. The view was epic.the food was delicious. The drinks were carefully hand-crafted with carefully and love. I literally hesitate to share this for fear that too many people will start going here! So. Coming. Back.

Thank you, The Lodge, for the wonderful evening! I appreciate you.

The sauce in the pistachio crusted halibut over couscous and asparagus spears was to die for!

There was also live music, a dark wood atmosphere, and a complimentary mystery shot that was vodka, banana liqueur, and watermelon liqueur.

Wonderful place! Amazing service from the bartender Roxy! Beautiful atmosphere and a great view of the golf course Mountains and lake. The drinks are best in class and the food was incredible. This might be my first time here but, will definitely not be my last time! If I could give it 6 stars I would! 100% recommend!… I need to edit this post because I’ve been here 5 or 6 times now. The chef Cole and his staff are truly world class. Someone from Michelin needs to come and give them a star. On top of Roxys incredible service is a team of intelligent and personal staff. Archer, Stephanie and the team are patient, fun, polite and attentive. This restaurant is a true gem. I’m grateful for everyones dedication to their craft and all around being good people. This is a must go place if you have any appreciation for quality food, drink, atmosphere and service.

A wonderful restaurant on the lake/golf course! A little off the beaten path but worth the trek. Not too fancy but also wouldn’t show up in jeans and a t shirt. The welcome drink is a nice touch… staff were extremely friendly, accommodating and somehow all beautiful and dressed to impress. Dinner and apps were delicious! We did order all the deserts to try and they were pretty awful. Took a couple bites and tossed them. Definitely a place the lodge can improve on, especially with how good the food was! Overall, would highly recommend!

We’ve been dining here every few months since they opened, and it continues to be one of our favorite spots in Windsor. This visit was another great example of why.

My wife ordered the sirloin pasta, and I had the filet—both were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. You can tell there’s real consistency and care coming out of the kitchen.

One thing we genuinely love is how they handle special occasions. Offering a complimentary dessert or drink makes it feel like they’re celebrating with you, not just serving you, and that extra touch really stands out.

Over all our visits, we’ve only had one experience that wasn’t near perfect, which says a lot given how often we come back. On this particular night, we arrived about 5–10 minutes early for our reservation and ended up being seated a few minutes after the scheduled time due to how busy it was—but that’s completely understandable, and everything else more than made up for the short wait.

Consistently excellent food, thoughtful hospitality, and a place we’ll continue to return to.

Update
I have down graded to four stars for two reasons; not so great Steak Kabobs and very slow service. BUT, my wife had the Short Ribs and my son had the Pelican Lake Ribeye, both of which were excellent. See pictures below. The Stake Kabobs were a real mixed bag. Some of the meat was over cooked and only a piece or two were lukewarm, the rest were room temperature. And the meat had a subtle chalky taste to it that was off putting. I did not complain because I did not want to spoil my son’s birthday dinner.

Regarding the slow service we waited a while after we finished eating to get the plates cleared. Then we waited a while to get the desert menu and finally we waited a while to get the check. Also, they allowed my water glass to go empty even though I was not drinking it that fast. I do not expect this from a restaurant of this caliber.

I was looking forward to trying the Wagyu steak but it is no longer on the menu even though we were told it was the day before. My wife had the beef stroganoff which she said it was 5 star. She did have difficulty with the noodles because they were Lasagna noodles and she has arthritis. I had the Filet with Au Gratin potatoes. The steak is what you would expect from a high class restaurant but the seasoning on everything was excellent. The Au Gratin potatoes while tasty were a little hard to eat. There was a crust on the top and bottom that did not break apart easily and the bottom crust was burned. I would like to see some other steak options like the Wagyu on the menu. A resturant like this should have something you can’t get elsewhere. Service was very friendly but you could tell the servers were over extended. For a restaurant like this the servers should be able to give you their full attention and not forget some of the little things. All in all it was a great experience for my wife and I.

A cool new hip and sophisticated spot in Northern Colorado. So in the lock of upscale dining and options in Northern Colorado, the lodge is definitely a welcome addition. Service and food were excellent, as well as a tremendous election from the bar and talented bartenders. Definitely a must visit for those looking for upscale dining in Northern Colorado.
