Steak salad was bib lettuce with some goat cheese, fried onions and two small skewers of meat on top.
I asked my friend who also had salad if hers was crunchy too. She assumed the crunchiness was the fried onions, it was grit in the greens
I dine here only occasionally, and only went last night because it was convenient in the storm, but I am always disappointed by the quality of the food served for the price.
I got the Pickled Beet Salad with fish of the day ($30 total), the most expansive salad on the menu, as my dinner entree. It was the size of a small side salad. Half the size of both the other salads on the menu. The fish was tiny and overcooked. Pretty dry and not much flavor (about 1.5″x2″x0.75 and for $12(!!)). There was no goat cheese anywhere near that salad.
I also got a mocktail, which I usually love, but this was just soda water with some sirop for $10. I wish I just got sprite instead.
When I got home I needed to make my self a sandwich to make up for that dinner.
Some other reviews say that the pub food is a bit better there, so I’m willing to give that a try, but otherwise won’t be back here again.
Looks out over the golf course and terrace. Bar area with TVs and more of a formal dining room option.
Good service. See pics for a few menu items.
No pics of the buffalo cauliflower and Asian brussels. So tasty. Must get the zeppole donuts. So light and dipping sauces were delicious- lemon curd, strawberry and chocolate (tasted like pudding).
The Lodge has complete bar facilities with a variety of top-notch liquor as well as wine choices by the glass or bottle.
The wait staff was attentive without being intrusive and our server, Marissa was especially friendly, responsive and quite professional. Our party enjoyed her very much. While not an inexpensive place to eat if you are having drinks, full dinner and wine service, I do feel cost was commensative with the total experience.
