One of the best breakfast options in Manhattan Beach, and one of my favorites in South Bay in general. It’s in between a traditional breakfast restaurant and a diner, and some things I love about it are it has friendly and quick service, a giant menu, and great food. Inside is pretty large so it can host many different sized groups, and has booth and table seating. Parking in the area can be a bit tricky, we found a metered street spot a block away, but you may have to circle a few times before finding a spot.
For this visit, I chose the Crab & Avocado Benedict because those are two of my two favorite things combined, so it was a no-brainer to order. The crab was very tasty and the hollandaise was made perfectly and overall it was a great dish. I also ordered a side of fruit and they really did not skimp on the fruit quality, they gave me banana, watermelon, grapes, and didn’t just throw the melon and cantaloupe at me.
Overall, a great breakfast option and I plan to be back many times in the future.

Had the best experience here. Great food, a view of the ocean, and amazing service. We came with our toddler and Alex was so wonderful and kind. Immediately brought him food and made sure we had a great time. Thank you, Alex!! Can’t wait to come back.

Had an amazing time eating by far the best breakfast food in all of Manhattan Beach. The jalapeño hash is to die for and the only thing better is the service you’ll receive while visiting The Local Yolk!

The best breakfast in Manhattan Beach!
The omelettes are amazing! They come with hashbrowns (golden brown and crispy) or fruit (and it’s not just melon). They also come with pancakes or a large biscuit. The pancakes are enormous and it comes with 2! I eat a lot of food and this is great for me! You’ll have plenty of food for good price.
I highly recommend, you won’t regret it!

It’s not fancy, it’s just good food served up fast and hot! Big menu with lots of options. We did a very casual Father’s Day brunch here. Be mindful that parking can be sticky so not there is a lot a block or two, to the North. Also, it can get busy on weekend mornings!

Really enjoyable breakfast. Had the Cancun Chorizo Omelette with hash browns, a biscuit and fresh fruit. It was all delicious, fast and fresh. Would definitely recommend.

This place is always the best – nice folks – back to basics old school great food. About as good as any “bacon – eggs – hash towns – biscuit – pancakes” as you can get….. fair prices too. A “local” gem! Yum yum get ya some!

Small little joint on highland with good food and great staff. The menu is well rounded with some traditional American and Mexican dishes(good tasting coffee too!).Good portion of food at a fair price. The staff are attentive to the customers so that was plus. Only bad thing I can say about this place is the location. Very little parking and the streets are super tiny. This establishment accepts credit/debit. Definitely planning on coming again.

I stayed in the area for a week and stopped here twice for breakfast. The amount of food you get is unbeatable for this area. All omelette orders come with fruit or hashbrowns and two pancakes. The coffee is fresh and service very fast.

This place is ok. Its not the greatest and not the worst. Its pretty average basic breakfast food, nothing extraordinary. The coffee is pretty bad its really basic and they dont seem like they really specialize in latte’s. I had an omellete and its was good but it kinda tasted like the smell of the plate like it was just washed idk, the pricing is reasonable and the service is good. 6/10 experience.
