We had a great experience at this restaurant. Our waitress, Chris, was very friendly, attentive, and helpful, which made our visit even better. The atmosphere was really nice—not too crowded, but still lively and busy.
The food was mostly excellent. The fish and chips were perfect, and the Smashburger was cooked just right and full of flavor. The only downside was the chicken Parmesan, which was a bit overcooked. We also didn’t have to wait long for our food, which we really appreciated.
Overall, I really like this place and will definitely be coming back.

What a fantastic find! ‘The Local’ lives up to its name — packed with friendly locals, a welcoming vibe, and even a corner selling Powerball tickets and their own merch. You immediately feel like you’re part of the neighborhood.
And of course… you’ve got to enjoy a sandwich in Sandwich!
Our daughter recommended this spot after loving it during a visit with a friend, so we made a point to stop by on our way to Provincetown. We’re so glad we did.
The food was delicious, the service was quick, and every staff member we met was genuinely warm. It absolutely lived up to the hype.
If you’re anywhere near Cape Cod, this place is worth the detour. Save it on your map — your taste buds will thank you!

Visited in February. Each staff member was courteous to us. Food served quickly and as ordered. Ordered Shaved steak sandwich and Cheeseburger and Red Velvet cake. Food was delicious and was everything tasted fresh. I highly recommend The Local.

We were in the area so decided to give the Local a try. There was a 20 min. wait but we spent it talking to the Jacks Abby beer rep in the game room. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich. In my opinion it was a bit to saucy but I didn’t eat the bun so perhaps that would have cut down on the BBQ sauce. My husband and sister in law both got the ribeye sandwich which they enjoyed. The Local had some good beers on tap which I regretted not getting after I received my blackberry martini. It was super sweet and syrupy. You can see how dark and thick the drink is from my picture. They did have some creative drinks on their menu. The service was good. They had live music playing in the bar area but we couldn’t hear it in our room. I wouldn’t have minded but I’m sure others would be happy to know it doesn’t get super loud in the dining rooms.

WHAT A GREAT PLACE! We had dinner Tuesday Dec. 2nd and ordered their dinner salads, mine with goat cheese, cranberries, walnuts, sliced apples and SUPER FRESH spinach and greens with their house made Bleu Cheese dressing – OMG! I’ve had similar salads, but they NAILED IT! Our server was great, attentive, refilled drinks and made us think we were the only people in the place, although they were BUSY! A huge menu with so many pasta dishes, salads, entree’s good appetizer selections and generous portions make this a place I will always patronize when up at Cape Cod! Bravo!

I came here with my girlfriend for a date, drawn in by high hopes, a great-looking menu, and a very inviting exterior—only to end up experiencing a nightmare of a dinner.
To start, the dining room was empty but still dirty, with food scattered on the floor. The appetizer plates that were already set on the table were also unclean. Our appetizer—steak and cheese egg rolls—was the highlight of the evening, absolutely delicious and the only redeeming part of the meal.
However, between the appetizer and our entrees, we could clearly hear the waitstaff complaining about another couple across the room. On top of that, they shared an extremely unappetizing story involving dog droppings. While some conversation among staff is understandable, loudly talking just outside the kitchen where diners can hear every word is completely unprofessional.
When our food finally arrived, I had the chicken sandwich with onion rings. While the onion rings had a great texture, they were completely flavorless. The sandwich itself consisted of a few pieces of chicken pounded so thin they had the texture of jerky. My girlfriend ordered a burger with tater tots. The tots were great, but the burger was bland and soggy. The mac & Cheese tasted like a frozen meal.
To top off the night, our server oddly addressed my girlfriend by name after reading it off her credit card, which felt intrusive and just plain strange.

Hadn’t been here since it was the BBC, popped in randomly the week of Christmas. What and AWESOME spot! The staff took such great care of us – all so friendly and so quick!! The bartender, Bridgette, was so proud of the spot (justifiably) and Genevieve took care of us at the table. We never wanted for anything. They had a really great musician, Tommy Brennan, who set the mood *perfectly*. I can’t wait to come back!

We chose this restaurant since it was close to Heritage Gardens and we were going to Gardens Aglow. The wait was longer than expected but not a huge deal. Our server had absolutely no personality and never came back to check on us to see how our food was and didn’t refill by husband’s empty beer until we were almost ready to go. We each got smash burgers. The absolute worst we’ve ever had. The beef was grey and awful. We were honestly worried we’d get sick from it and every time we think about it now it’s nauseating. The only reason we ate part of it was because (1) the waitress never checked on us and (2) we were running late for Gardens Aglow and wouldn’t have time to order anything else. Then “Santa” showed up. My son absolutely lit up when he came over to the table, he was so excited. Then as this guy started talking I could see the joy draining from his face. He kept saying he knew my son was naughty and just saying be good, go to school, be good, come home, be good, etc. This guy had inappropriate uncle vibes, not Santa vibes. As soon as he walked away my son asked if he was the real Santa and was upset. Hope they never hire this guy again. The only thing good about this place was the fries. Terribly disappointing experience.

Cozy spot to grab a bite and some drinks. Service was great at the bar. Drinks are made well and not over priced which is amazing these days. The sandwich I got was good, but the fries were even better! I like the atmosphere and would come back when in the area for sure. Good selection on the menu and rotating specialty drink menu is fun.

Great place, plenty space and outdoor seating. We were table of 7 and we all ordered apps to share and bunch of different meals. Everyone loved everything. Mexican dip is great and so are the chicken tenders. I had delicious shrimp scampi and my husband says that this is the best chicken piccata. We also took pizza to go and that was good. Overall great food whatever you pick. Compliments to the chef. Also our waitress was great, very funny and attentive. I don’t remember her name (I was late to the party).
