Very trendy cocktail bar located in downtown sykesville. I would recommend their dilly beans and their espresso Martini’s. Their drink what you draw gumball machine is so much fun and can be a great deal for a $7 cocktail. It is perfect for a non picky adventure seeker who can’t decide what to order.

The Local Motive is one of my favorite spots in Sykesville! Their sandwiches and light fare are consistently delicious—fresh ingredients, great flavor combos, and just the right portions. I also love their classic cocktails, which are well-crafted and never disappoint.
One of the best parts? Grabbing a window seat and watching the world go by. It’s the perfect place to relax, sip something tasty, and enjoy the charm of Main Street. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy, flavorful, and laid-back experience.

This was our first time going here and this place was fantastic! We went in the evening and the atmosphere was wonderful. There were seating areas for small parties and a sofa area for a larger group. They had great music, it was busy, and it was very welcoming. We tried a couple of their mixed brinks; the pool boy, a whiskey sour, and the gold rush. We order many of them and every drink came out fantastic! We tried a few apps too. The pretzel with beer cheese witch was great, the mezza plate which tasted amazing, and the burrata toast which was everyone’s favorite. I cannot wait to go back and try some of their sandwiches!

THE Best bread and butter. The herb butter is great! The brussels sprout salad is superb! Love the rustic dive bar charm of this place when we visited. I would take a special trip back for the salad.

My wife and I had a free hour or two so we spent it here. The establishment was very roomy (with lots of tables), well lit, and the menu was pleasantly large. The help was friendly and attentive.
Every beer I ordered came in a frosted glass and was filled to the top.
We ordered a charcuterie board and sandwiches. All of it was tasty and filling. I would recommend this place to anyone; especially folks that loved the market tavern.

The food was okay. The Brown ale and Lemonade was good. Had the grilled cheese, which was delicious. You order everything from the bar, and there are no servers. Feels very much like a local bar.

Finally this location has quality cocktails, something Market Tavern was not able to achieve, even after numerous suggestions.
The new menu is great, even out of such a small kitchen. Love the Old Fashioned but eager to try some of the new drinks on the menu. Best Lemon Drop Martini ever. Caprese Panini with some added prosciutto is excellent.

I had a great first time experience at this establishment. The Mississippi Pot Roast Hoagie was very good and I loved the pickles. My sever was perfect she made two excellent libations. I had a Manhattan with her choice of bourbon which was Heaven Hill. Then I enjoyed a Last Word which reminded me of a Gimlet only maybe a little less sweet. I wasn’t a fan of the chips but I won’t hold it against them
