Bathroom nastiness. Big nasty paper spitball thing someone splatted on the ceiling above the mirror has been there for WEEKS. It’s awesome when you sit down to eat and your elbows stick to the table top. Place needs a good solid cleaning. And another cleaning.

My plate was so watery. The chicken breast was as thin as a pancake (seriously) if I’m going to pay $19 for a chicken breast I want the whole chicken breast. The food was so bland. I’ve don’t think I’ll ever eat here again. The mashed potatoes had absolutely no seasoning on it what so ever. I can’t get over how much water was on my plate, almost like a soup. It reminds me of one of those restaurants Gordon Ramsey would go to and absolutely go ballistic about the food.

The salad with crispy chicken was sensational! The portion size was perfect, and everything was fresh and full of flavor. The crispy chicken added a delicious crunch that made the salad even better. We really enjoyed it and will definitely be coming back!

My husband and I have dined with this establishment twice, both time were wonderful! The staff is kind and attentive. The restaurant is clean, very cozy, and has tons of natural lighting. The food is excellent! We have had their steak, chicken fried steak, pork shanks, balsamic chicken breast, and their appetizers are awesome too! My husband enjoyed a prickly pear margarita and I a Moscow mule. We haven’t had anything we didn’t enjoy. We highly recommend this place! We will definitely be back!

Today we had a delicious lunch at the Local.
He enjoyed the hot honey sandwich while I had the local greens with sesame fried chicken, it was so fresh and crisp I’d recommend to anyone who enjoys a fresh salad.

Arrived here at 8pm on a Friday evening, hostess opened the door for us. Service was really nice and came to us quickly. The Chicken Fried Steak entree was delicious, the green beans were excellent and were very buttery. The “truck Stop Deluxe Ribeye” was underwhelming unfortunately, it lacked seasoning & did not meet the price price point for what it was worth. The green beans that came with it were delicious though & so were the mashed potatoes. I really enjoyed my espresso Martini and found it to be a great complimenting drink with desserts. My favorite delicacy was the Carrot Cake, but I also enjoyed the Toffee cookie. The desserts and drinks for sure are excellent! Will return again but will try other entrees. This restaurant is worth trying!

The Local just isn’t what it used to be. The portions do not add up to the price. I’ve been ordering a Gold Rush grilled chicken sandwich for years. However, over the last year or so, it has gone from a whole breast fillet down to two, extremely thin tenders. The $6 side of fries was all of 10 decent size fries and maybe five small, crunchy pieces. The portions compared to price used to be well worth the expense. I know the cost of food has gone up for everyone, but when you can’t taste the chicken because the bun (made for a bigger portion) overpowers the meat, it’s no longer worth it. The other problem is that my order has been incorrect the last two visits. A first in the almost 2 decades I’ve been a patron. I had to repeat my order several times and it was still wrong when it came out. Plus, I had to argue with the cashier about what I was ordering because she kept trying to tell me I wanted something different – which would have cost me an extra $4 for the exact same thing. I have been highly disappointed the last few times I’ve been there. I think it’s time to part ways and that makes me sad as it was one of my favorite restaurants.
