What really sets this place apart is the atmosphere. It is family-friendly, comfortable, and welcoming whether you are sitting inside, relaxing on the patio, or enjoying a drink at the bar. The owners clearly care about supporting local businesses, and you can see that through the local products they carry and the sense of community they have built.
The staff deserves a special mention too. Every visit, they are friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to make your experience great. It is rare to find a restaurant that combines excellent food, great drinks, and such a warm, down-to-earth vibe.
Whether you stop in for coffee and breakfast, meet friends for a drink, or bring the family for dinner, this spot is a must-try.
Thanks to the owners and team of The Local for bringing a great taphouse and eatery to the south side. Everyone needs to check this place out, you won’t be disappointed.
Cheers!
My mother and I had being there with a different name before The Local. It was a former “Last Mile Brewery.” But it’s nice to see their business still here. Surprised that they have the breakfast and Grounded Coffee Company for coffee in the mornings.
We got the lunch there. Our drinks were Samuel Smith’s Winter Ale Welcome and Remedy Brewing Co.’s Queen Bee. Our foods were The Sheridan and The Canyon Lake Paninis. The Sheridan Panini was so freaking good! We were enjoying our beers. They have great local beers on tap there!
I love to get back to try the coffee in the morning there!
I was in South Dakota, for my nieces first birthday. And I was starving after my flight, so I was originally going to Starbucks, but on the way I found the local. My latte was amazing! Better than the ones in my local coffee shop. Thank you so much! Sincerely, Maggie Sandler.
