This spot perfectly blends dive bar vibes with a modern country house feel, creating a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that somehow makes great use of a smaller space. It never feels cramped—just comfortable and intentional.
The prices were fair, especially considering how bold and well-executed the flavors were. The real standout was the garlic Sriracha wings—an easy 10/10. I’m serious about my wings needing a solid crunch, and these absolutely delivered. Crispy, saucy, and packed with flavor without being soggy at all.
They also offer tons of drink options, making it a great place to hang out whether you’re grabbing food or just stopping in for a few rounds. If you’re into big flavors, great wings, and a laid-back but stylish atmosphere, this place is definitely worth checking out.

We stumbled upon The Local based on our son in law’s quick research. What a find! The food was far beyond our expectations and the service was some of the best we’ve experienced in a long time. All 4 of us were extremely happy with the food quality along with the service. Specifically, Morgan is the epitome of a fantastic waitress/server. She was attentive, to the point, and funny. We all had a great experience and we will definitely return, and request Morgan to be our server!

Potato soup was outstanding. The short rib melt was tasty and the pizza rolls appetizer was really good.

Only one step to get in, handicap spot right in front. The big pretzel was indeed BIG and came w 3 separate delicious dips. Sconi on the pretzel bun was great and the shrimp wrap was LOADED w shrimp and very flavorful. Wonderful staff. Truly seemed to work as a team and very pleasant and attentive. Tables were cleared and wiped w spray promptly after guests left. Bathroom was very clean. I’ve been at the gas station half mile away dozens of times and never knew it was there! Looks like you’ve taken a wrong turn going down a residential street.

The food selection was really interesting with unique pairings and fusions, so my group and I ordered multiple items and split amongst ourselves. The prices were really reasonable so despite ordering so many items, the bill was not as large as I expected. The staff was nice but it was a little crowded. Get the pretzel.

Great fish fry! They have cod, perch, and walleye, and you can get all three in one meal (The fish Monger).

Cheese curds were unique, no breading, quite heavy, definitely share them.

It’s a small restaurant and it certainly gets noisy during peak hours.
Great potato pancakes and slaw! Fast service.

Not your average pub food.

This place was awesome. The appetizers we ordered were the wings and curds, bith were top notch. The curds were among some of the best I’ve had, 5/5. Wings were also killer.

My wife ordered the fish fry which was great 5/5, with the potato pancakes being a stand out.

I ordered the Nashville hot chicken which was just okay; slightly disappointing considering how great everything else was. I look forward to trying f the burgers

Top notch experience. First time eating here and definitely not the last. Stopped in on a Friday and had a 30-minute expected wait before seating. Turned out to be about 20. Time for a round at the bar. Not unexpected and not bad for a Friday in Wisconsin. Same owners here as the Hale House, I believe, so we expected the food to be good and were not disappointed. Oddly, none of us had the fish fry (which looked good as they went by), but the short rib melt, the crispy chicken sandwich and my wine-o burger were all delicious and polished off in short order. All the staff here were superb. Attentive but not overbearing and with a great sense of humor. Beer selection was decent and prices were fair. Parking was dicey. Looks like it could get full at peak times. Was very busy the whole time we were there but it felt like they were used to it and coped well. If you’re anywhere in the area and looking for a great place to eat, look no further. Highly recommended.

Discovered this place accidently and will definitely be back. Great menu selection of fresh, homemade pizza, burgers, sandwiches, and wraps. We started with the pancetta garlic bread app which was fabulous. I had a small boss baby pizza and the hubs had a rueben. The pizza crust was more of a flat bread, very crispy and delicious. Hubs’ sandwich was generously filled with tasty corned beef and homemade chips which were amazing dipped in the ranch sauce that was served with the bread.

Happened upon this place on the way back from Mama Tried bike show. Fifteen minute wait, the hostess brought my elderly friend a chair. Great service and my Reuben sandwich was the best ever. I would definitely return if I ever come this way again.
