Service wonderful. Chairs are cozy. Atmosphere is quaint and homey. Food was fresh, hot, and delicious. The Local Toast was so tasty 10/10! Steak and eggs was quality meat 7/10. I would eat here again.

It was our first time in today and this was an amazing experience. I have managed restaurants for a decade and this place, hands down, has the friendliest staff and THE best burger that I’ve EVER had. Portions are great, THE FOAVOR IS UNREAL AND UNMATCHED, y’all. While visiting Jax on a mini-vacay with my hubby, we came straight here for lunch when we got into town. It was past the normal lunch rush, so we immediately sat down at a table. I didn’t want a full, heavy meal, so I ordered the burrata with pistachio -spinach pesto, onion balsamic jam, crushed red chili flakes, Parmesan, with rosemary focaccia. And MY WORD that was one of the best things I ever put in my mouth. I ordered a second plate of bread so I could make sure not to leave even one drop behind. I’ve been thinking about it for dayssss! Oh and my husband enjoyed his fried chicken sandwich too. But that DIP!!!

Amazing food! The pasta tasted absolutely delicious and would definitely it let have it again! The service was pretty good and the atmosphere isn’t bad at all. They do have live music certain days and overall the food was good!

On 3/3/26 The Local catered my wedding. Chef Terrence and his team went above and beyond to make sure our day was seamless. My family and friends are still raving about the food. We had the brunch menu. The bartenders did their job making sure everyone was served quickly, and the drinks were superb. This was the best experience we have ever had with a restaurant, I highly recommend The Local for you events or for a night out.

They are great with accommodating large groups. I think their options are over priced for the service, we ordered coffees when arriving that came after our food. Great outside little area with that big gorgeous tree.

I was very excited to try The Local, but I was not thrilled by the experience. The server was nice but consistently failed to refill our drinks, as did the 2 other people checking on the table. For the brunch beverages, we ordered the Summer Fling, and it had little to no alcohol and included a 2×2 inch frozen chunk of watermelon in what amounted to a rocks glass drink. Meaning we had about an ounce and a half of actual liquid, and it seemed there was no alcohol.
As a former bartender who was frustrated by patrons complaining about drinks being too light on alcohol – I’m disappointed. The drink was delicious – I just wonder if they forgot the alcohol.
Usually, I am gracious with reviews, but this was a different experience.
For food, I asked for the breakfast taquitos. I was informed that the cook with that recipe had left and took it with them. None of the other brunch dishes aligned to what I wanted, so I picked the fried chicken sandwich. It was lacking sauce and flavor. My wife picked the roast beef sandwich, which was cut far too thick.
I rarely write reviews for restaurants that disappoint, but I felt this one was needed as this place was the farthest thing from being “The Local”.

The Local has one of the best happy hour deals in the city. Half priced hot honey chicken, spinach artichoke dip, and zucchini fries (which taste like mozzarella cheese sticks btw) are all great. Outside of happy hour, I’m a big fan of their chicken philly and salmon quinoa bowl, and short rib hash for breakfast.
I had a server named Madelyn (sp?) who remembered my order down to the sauce after the second time waiting on me, which I really appreciated. Service was great.
The atmosphere is modern and nice but not snooty. They have live music sometimes, too. It’s a great neighborhood spot
The restaurant’s parking can fill up but you can park in the lot across the street.

I’ve seen this place come up on my Google Map but never really had the opportunity to come by until recently. A great cozy little restaurant. My siblings and I came during happy hour by accident which worked out perfectly. Our server Joey was patient, very helpful, and suggested some drinks and food since it was our first time here. Joey was attentive not only to our request but to the others he was serving. Definitely need to stop by if you haven’t already.
