Went out for Thursday night dinner and drinks. We sat at the corner of the bar and was taken care of by the bartender Nick. Although he was very busy taking care of other customers, he was very attentive to us and made us feel like family at the bar. The food came out extremely fresh and hot. Nick was able to answer any questions we had about the food and drinks, and you can easily tell he has many years of experience behind the bar. I would definitely recommend The Local to anybody who would like great food and drinks in the Babylon Village area.

We stopped in during a street fair for a cider and a beer. The Local is a small, very clean, nicely decorated place, with a varied, reasonably priced menu. Great beer and cider selections. Close to LIRR station. We’ll definitely be back to try the food!
