A cozy place with a feel of good food to be had. We had great evening here with friends. Crab , Calamari starters excellent. Most had Dublin bay prawns and just superb. Sides were good and very helpful waiters when we asked for items not on the menu. Enjoyed good loire wines at reasonable prices for the fish. Our party were delighted with the experience. Will be back.

This restaurant has a cosy and elegant atmosphere, with attentive servers who do not rush you at all. The seafood is very tasty and the desserts looked good (though we didn’t partake). The vegetable sides are almost uniformly overdone, though — just get the creamed spinach and forget about the broccoli, cauliflower or green beans, which are tasteless and overdone. Whyyyyy??? This is a throwback place that may well be coasting on tourists. You can eat much better at many other spots in town, but the servers and the atmosphere is charming and beautifully quiet.

This is currently my favourite restaurant in Dublin. You get amazing service, top quality food, and a warm welcome every time. I highly recommend for a very special night out.

Dined here with my brother in law before a match. Staff were welcoming and friendly and made us feel at home. The food was exceptional . We both had the special – half lobster with scallops and prawns. It was incredible.

The food was EXCELLENT and the service per se was very good. Unfortunately when the check came they tried to sneak in about a 12% service charge – our first such charge in Ireland (for two of us). When asked about it, the older gentleman who appeared to run the place took it off. But after we left I realized they had also padded the fixed-price menu charge: instead of the listed €37.50 per person they had charged €40. A real shame such excellent food was overshadowed by petty charging games. We won’t be back, unfortunately, because of this and not because of the food.

I’m unsure how to describe the dining experience here. The service was impeccable, the food devine. Not being pompous about it. It really was an experience. I had 1/2 dozen oysters and the lobster with garlic butter (pictured) and my partner has shrimp/scallops and the baked whole sea bass. The sea bass had table side deboning service being completed by skilled hands. As I said, it was an experience. Of course, the experience comes with expense, but highly recommend it.

Came here with my mom to celebrate our last night in Dublin. We ordered 9 oysters for our table to start, as well as lobster and salmon. We then overheard one of the other servers ask our server what we ordered, he responded with: 9 oysters. They both had a big laugh as if we didn’t order enough/ didn’t belong there, keep in mind this was about 5 feet from our table. I have never felt more uncomfortable/ like I didn’t belong at a restaurant in my life. We we’re also halfway done with our bread when they took it away. The salmon, lobster, scallops and salmon were all undercooked as well. 0/10 don’t recommend eating here, especially with the amount you’ll be spending.
