We were exploring the great river Road and just wanted to find a place to eat… We stumbled upon this amazing place! Great atmosphere for all ages… Super family friendly. We were blessed to enjoy the sunshine and eat out on the patio. Then, I got to watch ice-skating inside, which was a surprise! Definitely wanna go back and enjoy this amazing place by the Mississippi river!

Right on the river in Grafton Illinois. Huge decks overlooking the river. Huge party place especially on the weekends. Was here on a Thursday afternoon with the other old folks (lol) and it was very casual, quiet and enjoyable.

Our server was perfectly attentive and very friendly.

The catfish bites and fries were really good. So are the fries.

The Caesar salad was good, but it does not come with croutons.

You can drive a boat up here and dock it and enter.

Plenty of free parking

The Loading Dock is a must-visit along the Mississippi River. With its spacious layout, you can relax by the water while enjoying live music and great food. We grabbed nachos, and the atmosphere was perfect—whether you order at the counter or wait for a server, it’s super laid-back. There are outdoor games for kids, plenty of seating where you can pick your own spot, and even a flea market inside one of the buildings once in a while that adds a unique touch to the experience. The flea market wasn’t going on when we were there. It’s a place that really has something for everyone! #bucketlist

We came here for a day trip out with the pups. They had a huge open patio deck dock lol. It was first come first serve seating so we had to circle a few times to find a spot. Once we did, we were greeted by a server that took our drink order. She informed us that we have to go place our order for food at the separate bar. The line moved fast and the nachos were good!

It was fun to soak up the sunshine and vibes while watching the boats on the river. Highly recommend!!

This is a place that every in metro St. Louis should know. It is a gem. The residents of Dolan Memory Care Homes love going to the Loading Dock because it truly feels like one is on vacation. The views are spectacular. The sun gets hot and the umbrellas cover some folks, but if you have a large group, chose a day that has a breeze to stay cool.

I love the location. The concept is great. The food is decent/good. I had the catfish nuggets. The drink are good as well. Biggest downside is the chaos of getting a seat since you have to seat yourself. Thankfully someone let us share a table with them.

This was a weekday for my daughter’s birthday. The rain came in shortly after arriving and forced us to set inside mainly do to lightning. The food was excellent and the service was excellent as well. Staff were pleasant and friendly. The view of the river was nice while eating. One of my favorite places to eat in Grafton. Will come back for sure. Sometimes they have live music but I think we were too early for this.

A great place to stop for a meal and a few drinks with a really great view of the river.
In warmer months, there is plenty of outdoor seating, an outdoor bar, and an area to play cornhole.
It can get very busy on weekends and holidays, especially in the summer months, so expect to wait for a table and possibly have a little trouble finding parking on those busy days. On weekdays, we have not had problems with parking or waiting for any significant time for a table.
They have a large flea market here on the 4th weekend of the month (April through October), too.
Service is fairly good, and prices are good.
They have a full bar and a good beer and wine selection, too.

Such a fun place! In the winters, they do ice skating. I never knew until recently.

I’ve go several times during the summer when they have their market. Staff is always friendly. Usually pretty busy every time I go.

It was a beautiful day to sit outside and eat and the muddy water actually looked blue. I had a hot dog and fries and they were good and cheap. The young lady that waited on us was very patient. No
