Great atmosphere and friendly service, but basic bartending knowledge is lacking.
Ordered a classic cocktail (manhattan) which should be bourbon and sweet red vermouth stirred with ice, strained and served in a lowball glass.
The bartender made it with dry white vermouth instead of sweet red – which could be just a mistake, except that it was also shaken and she was going to serve it in a martini glass, not a lowball. The number of mistakes makes it clear she didn’t know how to bartend… It’s not a martini – how to make and serve a manhattan should be basic bartending knowledge. The drink was $8 which is steep for the area.
Other notes… Vermouth should always be stirred, not shaken, and vermouth is also a perishable product – should be stored in the fridge after opening and only open for a few weeks before dumping. Living Room stores the bottles they are pouring from on the back bar which probably means they are old and spoiled.

The bartender was very nice and accommodating. The seating is similar to what you find in your ” The Living Room.” The first time we stopped, I ordered a mixed drink that typically gets me a bit tipsy. However, that didn’t happen at all at this bar.
The second time, my drink had 3-4 tiny bugs swimming in my drink. I have seen enough and will never go back.
