What a lovely little find!
I’d walked past this place a few times and finally decided to give it a try – so glad I did. It always seems to have a nice buzz, and now I know why. The coffee was spot on, the food absolutely hit the mark, and the service couldn’t have been friendlier. Great value for money too, which is always a bonus. I’ll definitely be coming back – a real gem!

A nice little cafe in the Fullflood area of Winchester. I popped in for coffee and cake, and the selection didn’t disappoint. The cakes were really good quality and very tasty, and the coffee was very good too.

The atmosphere is nice and it’s nice sitting in the window watching the world go by. The service was very friendly and attentive, and I thought the price was very reasonable for the quality of what is on offer.

They also had a great looking selection of salads, quiches and sausage rolls, so I’ll certainly be back to try those out another time!

**Used to be my favourite spot — now sadly disappointing**

I used to love this restaurant. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the food consistently delicious, and the coffee always spot on. Yes, it was expensive, but the generous portions and quality made it worth every penny. I recommended it to friends and family regularly.

Unfortunately, over the past 2–3 months, things have changed for the worse. The new staff seem disengaged and unfriendly. The coffee now tastes watered down, and the food quality and portion sizes have noticeably declined.

I’ve been a loyal weekly customer, always ordering the same breakfast. It used to be consistent and satisfying. Now, it’s a gamble — one week I get one slice of toast, the next two; sometimes one rasher of bacon, sometimes two (it used to be three); and the eggs vary from perfectly poached to hard and overcooked. It’s frustrating to pay £17 for breakfast and coffee when I no longer know what I’ll be served.

It’s disappointing to see a place I loved lose its charm. I’m seriously considering finding a new local.

What a lovely little place! Possibly a little more expensive than some places but worth it. Staff were great and food sublime. We had the main breakfast each and it may seem strange but the best toast ever!!!! Just gorgeous. The whole breakfast was great as were the drinks.

The seating area was also really pleasant to sit in. Treat yourself and try it out

We went to the Little Kitchen Bistro right after it had had a face lift, and they did a great job! The ambiance is amazing, despite it being a very busy small cafe ,and they even took the styling right through to the bathrooms….an area many cafes/restaurants forget.
The service was attentive and, we thought, timely given how busy they were.
The food was divine and, if you live in Winchester or are just passing through, you would do yourself a favour by calling in here for a drink and a bite. Once you’ve eaten, you can also get some Froz ice-cream, which is a treat with so many delicious flavours.
For our breakfast, we had Smoked salmon, scrambled egg & avocado on sourdough, and the Fulflood Breakfast – hash brown, two slices of bacon, Cumberland sausage ring, home made baked beans, roasted cherry vine tomatoes, two fried eggs & toast (granary, white or sourdough).
The salmon meal was delicious, with a generous serving of salmon, perfectly cooked eggs (which tasted free range) and nicely seasoned avocado…none of that bland mash you get elsewhere!
The full breakfast was hearty and very flavourful, with the sausage being super tasty, and the homemade baked beans having an unctuous umami flavour profile.
Totally crave-worthy!

Luckily, this lovely cafe is just around the corner from me. I haven’t tried everything on the menu but I can highly recommend the eggs florentine….honestly one of the best I’ve had, if not the best! The coffee is good too.

My friends and I really enjoyed our lunch and the service but the visit was spoiled by a customer allowing his dog to mooch behind the counter, then to sniff around people’s bags and feet and to our astonishment he was then allowed to sprawl on the seating! ii was raining that day, so paws and fur were dirty and damp, and no member of staff asked him to put his dog on the floor. Where is the hygiene, the manners? It’s a food establishment, dogs do not belong on the chairs. i wonder if the seat was cleaned for the next customer?

Nice little cafe along the streets, 15min walk from The Winchester Hotel. It was a nice stroll in the light drizzle. Enjoyed my coffee and English Breakfast by the roadside, the sourdough bread was amazing. Friendly staff, cozy interior, wasn’t very crowded on a weekday morning as this is still a distance from the city center. Great precious, peaceful and serene morning for myself!

Great little cafe. A staff member and her manager were very kind and helped me sort travel when Winchester station were having delays and I didn’t have any wi-fi service. Hospitality like this does not go unnoticed and all the staff here seem lovely! Would highly recommended to any one passes through Winchester
