Was here yesterday from Georgia and I must say every thing we ordered was the best food I’ve had in Miami. I ordered the buffalo chicken Mac 10/10. My husband ordered fried turkey wings and he was impressed 10/10. My husband’s brother ordered wings with collards he said the collards were the best and they must’ve stole someone’s grandma recipe. 10/10. Mystery drink was good also, very sweet but I like sweet so it was perfect for me. I look forward to coming back. Oh and the staff was so attentive everyone that walked by our table checked on us not just our assigned waitress! Just a great vibe and very welcoming.

Open late – 12pm – 12am
Clean and modern upgrades to dining area

Wish the management invested time updating the menu prices so patrons will not have “sticker shock” when ordering. No call in orders over the phone.
I came on a weekday around lunchtime 1pm. Music was jamming and very impressed with the upgrades to the dining area.

Disappointed about the quality of the food . I ordered the wings and red velvet waffles. The wings were extremely dry and tasted old. And I prefer my wings without the feathers (even if the feathers are fried). Although the portion size was convenient- four whole wings to four quarter waffles… I could not even finish the meal.
Consumers will consistently show they are willing to pay more for superior quality and customer service leading to increased loyalty and a greater likelihood of repeat purchases. Hope there is significant effort to retain customers.

Atmosphere and Food Amazing
Service Needs improvement: Upon entering the business the host/waitress was very helpful with either seating and/or placing orders it was temporary because we were advised that the wait time for our food was 25 minutes. We waited an hour and the only reason we got our food was because I had to walk back up to the bar and ask if the food was ready. The waitress/host never told us the food was ready. Nor did they care to check or remember that we were waiting patiently for our food.
FYI: Our food was sitting on the counter top in the ubereats/online order area and only god knows how long it was there. If you are not aware there is a high bar and seating is low and if there is a full bar it’s impossible to see your food from the opposite side of the bar, which in our case it was a full bar. We got no apologies from anyone.

I ordered grits through DoorDash and when I arrived, I was told the item was not available. The staff member claimed the app clearly stated that, but it did not. When I asked him to show me where it said the item was unavailable so I could avoid the mistake in the future, he refused and became hostile. I was then told I was no longer welcome in the restaurant.
This was not just an issue of a missing menu item. It was an issue of communication and professionalism. In the service industry, how staff respond to questions or frustrated customers matters. Dismissive or aggressive behavior escalates situations unnecessarily and damages trust.
After this interaction, the item was removed from the app, which suggests the listing was inaccurate at the time of my order. I have since learned that other customers have experienced similar issues here.
I have a significant online following and am currently considering using my platform to bring awareness to this pattern of behavior, including the possibility of organizing a peaceful protest. My goal is not to attack a Black-owned business, but to hold businesses accountable for transparency and respectful service within our community.
I hope ownership takes this seriously and implements better communication and customer service training moving forward.

The Licking has hooked me with their fried turkey wings. I am hooked ya hear me. The flavor is on point , crispy and juicy, with a mild hit of lemon pepper seasoning. Now. I believe in honesty and transparency. This time I ordered and my wings were missing from the order. , I have experienced other establishments just brush you off with no remedy. The Manager Chad didn’t do that. He went above and beyond to rectify this oversight. I appreciate great management because others are always looking, learning and performing based off of the set tone. Thanks for great service and leadership Chad!

The food was awful!!! My chicken tenders was very Rubbery & as soon as I picked them up all the breading fell off. I sent them back & the next order was the exact same way!!!!! Awful!!! The collards were edible but not the best. The mac & cheese was very bland. The mystery drink was delicious.
The waitress was amazing
However I will not come back to this location again.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while & it was decent. If you’re someone who gets cold easily bring a sweater!! Lol but this spot is your average soul food restaurant. The fried shrimp was really good, well seasoned. I wasn’t crazy about the steak because it was cooked well done & I personally prefer medium or medium well. The Mac n cheese, lobster and green beans were really good! The mystery drink was super sweet and reminded me of kool aide. Our waitress Kayla was nice too.

Food was not the greatest. Way too overpriced. For what the restaurant is suppose to be it was run of the mil and very mid. I can see why the tip was automatically included because the tip wouldn’t have been very good. Didn’t get a refill on drinks and the restaurant was slow. However The restaurant was very clean and the atmosphere was immaculate. Music was fire too.

I’m pregnant and was craving soul food. First time eating from here and highly satisfied. We ordered our food for pickup and the food was ready on time. The food was amazing. My fiancé and I got baked mac and cheese, collard greens with smoked turkey, yams, fried shrimp and fingalickin wings. Everything was tasty and great portions of the food was served…The red velvet cake was fresh. Oh how could I forget about the famous mystery drink…. Very delicious…. You won’t be disappointed….
