Most likely, the best quality food you’ll find near Sherman. However, they do need improvement on their old fashioned cocktail. The asparagus was slightly overcooked and not snapped off at the end, leaving the ends stringy. The lobster dinner had way too much butter, making a pretty healthy dinner, not healthy at all, which was what I was looking for. I tend to be really picky, but in all honesty, we will probably be back. We’ve been here twice now and have enjoyed the atmosphere. Not to mention, they have our favorite wine, the Austin Hope Cabernet.

I like to see pictures of meals before I buy. This was not the over priced meal I was expecting. The chicken breast was tender, Mac n cheese was watered down., no real flavor and asparagus was flavorful but over cooked.$33 for this meal, hardly worth it.

Where do I begin…We arrived at 5:30PM and didn’t get our food till almost 7:30PM. The food is terrible and WAY over priced. Not worth the money. You’re better off going to Texas Roadhouse that is right up the road for better food at a way better price. I honestly don’t even feel like they deserve the one star it was that terrible of an experience. The only thing decent was the asparagus and the rolls. I will not be back nor will I be recommending this place. I have to say this is by far the worse restaurant I’ve ever been to. Service terrible. Food terrible.

AMAZING food and delicious cocktails! Friendly & fast service, nice atmosphere and neat history of the building/location. Stumbled across the place looking for something new. Was a drive but totally worth it!!

I’m so glad we discovered The Library Bar & Grill Restaurant. Best $$ Restaurant in Sherman. They will accommodate any group size by reservation. The filets melt in your mouth greatness & love the creativity of the Chef’s Specialties. The staff is fantastic. Tonight we all ordered the Special “Crawfish Etoufee w/Red Fish & Gumbo.

Get your reservations early because this place stays busy! That being said, it’s one of the few restaurants I’ve been to lately that felt fully staffed. We had wonderful service from every employee we interacted with. Started with the steak crostini appetizer which was out of this world! Only downside was the actual crostini was a bit chewy instead of being crispy. For the entree, I had the medium rare ribeye with bleu cheese and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Definitively one of the best meals I’ve enjoyed in north Texas to date! While the decor is a bit outdated and doesn’t really match the high prices, overall this restaurant is a winner in my book. Can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic local find. Excellent food, exceptional service, Wine list prices are about the same as total wine so those that care to endulge may do so within reason for the top tier wine. Reservations are required so plan ahead for a wonderful dining experience.

We arrived at 710pm. We still have yet to receive our dinner and it’s 810pm. Our server is less than attentive and the food is over priced for the food you receive. The wine they sell for 35 dollars a bottle sells for 15 dollars in the store. Steak crustini is cold and definately rare not medium rare. Mac and cheese is watery and my husband’s pork is over cooked but had good flavor. The baked potato was good but that is about all. We will NOT BE BACK

My wife and I had a celebration dinner here for her getting a new job. We’ve eaten here a handful of times while living in Sherman. The Library Grill, along with Fulbelli’s, is one of the top two places for a ‘fancier’ dinner for date night or special occasion in Sherman. The food is really great, the service is usually pretty strong, and the environment is very inviting. The steak pictured here did have to get sent back once as I ordered medium rare, but received medium well. They took the steak back and brought me another full plated entree with a properly cooked steak, so I had more than enough to take home.
