You will likely not get better food or better service than you will get at the Ledger. Nine of us celebrated my mother’s eightieth birthday here. We had the 80 oz Tomahawk steak and 6 or 7 appetizer/sides to go with it for the 9 of us. We all left full and each food item that we ordered was delicious. The root vegetable hash was amazing. The Mac and cheese was divine. The baby glaze carrots were incredible. The Tomahawk steak was otherworldly. The crafted non alcoholic cocktails were good , but not great, but that may be just a personal taste preference.

All in all, this is an absolutely amazing place to dine.

I took my husband here to celebrate his birthday. We were very impressed with the ambiance, the attentiveness of the staff from the moment we arrived and how quickly we were seated despite having a reservation. Our wait staff Luke and Sebastian were amazing. Every option was explained perfectly and Luke’s recommendations were perfect. We enjoyed ourselves. We look forward to returning with friends and family as well as going to the Speak Easy in the lower level to hear some local Jazz ❤️

What can I say? One of the best dining experiences we have had this year from start to finish. You have a great view of this beautiful restaurant before you walk in. Hard to believe this used to be a coney. We were fortunate to have Thomas as our waiter. He was very welcoming and did a fantastic job explaining the menu to the four of us and highlighting his favorites. He was attentive throughout and a delight to talk to without being intrusive on our evening. We started with the G.O.A.T salad for the table which everyone really enjoyed. Our four entrees consisted of Patagonian Toothfish (two of us), Mar Andino Steelhead Trout and the Cheeseburger. The Toothfish was outstanding…buttery, melt in your mouth and flavorful. It’s not a large piece of fish but but with the chickpea & kale cassoulet it was adequate. My wife said the trout was superb. It almost looked more like salmon and Thomas explained why…that it’s from icy cold streams rather than lake trout. She said the preparation with the matcha apple made for a very special dish. Our other friend raved about the cheeseburger minus the egg which she didn’t want on the burger. We also had sides of the truffle fries and the roasted wild mushrooms. The fries were very good and the mushrooms (I ate most of them I think) were outstanding. We also shared the carrot cake for dessert. I am not a fan of carrot cake myself but I would actually order this myself! It was that good. The cream and the caramel they use really make it an extraordinary dessert. Side note….we never had to ask for more water as our glasses were filled throughout the meal. Also enjoyed talking to the manager who stopped by to make sure we were happy. First time here and will for sure be back. This place clearly strives to do everything right and very focused on the customer. Make sure you make a reservation as I saw them turning people away without one. It was still pretty much full at 9:30 when we left. Not an inexpensive spot but worth every penny

The Ledger is in an old bank and the environment is very different. In a good way, the food was delicious and the service was great. Although I really liked the atmosphere for a social event, my husband and I went there for our anniversary, and we would have preferred a more intimate dinning environment for an anniversary but that was just the outing we were having that night. Now if we went with friends, it would have been amazing.

About the food… The pork belly appetizer was our favorite, it was such an inspired dish and so delicious. The steaks were cooked perfectly, and the green bean hash was also unique.

The service was great and they were attentive without trying to move us along, and they even had an anniversary gift for us, along with a special dessert with a sparkler, and who doesn’t love a sparkler in a brownie!!

I highly recommend for a unique dining experience.

The brunch here is one of the best in metro detroit. The chef’s version of the big mac was SO good and the cinnamon roll is one of our favorites. If youre looking for a unique and delicious menu every time, this is the place. The service has also been great every time we’ve been here and thats so hard to find these days

Our dining experience was lovely, the mimosa tower is a MUST HAVE ; the food was tasty, BUTTTT…. For a $70 steak there was too much fat for the price, the side dishes had a little to much salt. Would we return( of course the place was/is lovely) with a few hiccups…

Such a fun place with great food! Came here for brunch one Sunday and the food was amazing. So much flavor in every dish. The loaded french toast was a table favorite! And the atmosphere is fun too – there was a DJ playing music and the decor was super fun. The waitress overheard our conversation that it was our anniversary coming up, and they gave us a beautiful wine opener set as a gift! So unexpected and thoughtful 🙂

We had the five course chef’s choice with wine pairings. What a delight!
I’m a bit of a foodie, and was transported to memories of similar tastings, I.e., the Bellagio’s Picasso, and Alain DuCasse in Paris. TRUST this CHEF: their cuisine is creative and inspired (anchovy powder dusting for the umami, charcoal powder for the color), and skillfully executed (best hand rubbed kale leaves ever)
So knowledgeable (cava to open, a local Michigan ice wine to close). Even the setting (winter decorations with whimsical polar bears) was a treat. This is our new favorite, and I highly recommend it
