Was in Wooster and decided to stop in for brunch today. What a great experience. I ordered the Wooster South loaded bowl.

I ordered the full size. It comes with two biscuits, a fried chicken breast, two eggs (I ordered sunny side up), and then topped with sausage gravy and cheese.

The biscuits were fluffy and had perfect consistency. Absolutely loved them. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The chicken was perfect. Fried crispy and seasoned well.

The gravy though, man it was sooooooo good. Absolutely delicious sausage gravy. It legitimately was the best part of the dish.

My bartender, (Kim?), I’m sorry if I got her name wrong, was fun to talk with. Enough conversation to make me feel wanted, but didn’t badger me while I ate. She also gave me a great recommendation for ice cream after getting lunch.

They also have a great selection of beer. I might have had a Founder’s Breakfast Stout with my brunch….Maybe….

All in all, great experience. I’m not in Wooster much at all. But I might make a trip back just try eat here again. Very happy with my experience.

I always prefer to give my money to local businesses whenever possible. I know that this is a family-owned business and they have been a staple in the community for a long time. They offer a lot of good comfort food. Reasonably good selection. The breakfasts are really great but 10 to focus on a more senior crowd I think. Usually the surface is average to maybe a little above average. It used to be exceptionally good, but I think it is been a common trend in the restaurant industry since covid that service has really gone downhill dramatically. If you’re looking for a family-friendly place or a place that is relatively quiet to take your elderly relatives this is the absolute perfect place. If you’re looking for something a little more upper class or elegant definitely not the right choice. Certainly would not pick this as a place for a date. To their credit the deserts generally are excellent. Wish they would offer a little bit more trendy of a menu instead of catering to the current demographic they seem to be targeting. I think that would expand their customer base significantly.

Third time here. Sunday mornings I highly recommend a reservation. Alla 3 times have been excellent service, excellent food. This is a trendy style place that serves very upscale, yet familiar food. The bar and coffee selections are outstanding.

We had avocado Naan, lox bagel and a half order of biscuits and Gravy-2.0 (2.0 is with eggs to order under the gravy)

Everything was outstanding. Unfortunately I did not take photos of the beautifully plated naan and bagels.

First visit to The Leaf Restaurant and we’re already planning on coming back next weekend and it’s an hour and 15 minutes away from where we live. The food is AMAZING and the service is phenomenal! Megan C. was our server and she was extremely sweet and very knowledgeable about the menu items. I was in the restaurant business for almost twenty years and I’m probably one of the most nit-picky customers on earth and I couldn’t find one thing that could have been better with the service or the food. My wife was floored I didn’t criticize one thing! Honestly, we probably only eat out once every other month anymore because I know I can make it better at home and the service isn’t ever close to what I expect and should receive. Thank you for proving to me there’s still a restaurant out there that provides as high of service and food quality that i hope to receive and expect!

We didn’t have a reservation, so we did have to wait about 30 minutes. The wait was well worth it. The breakfast charcuterie board was phenomenal! Everyone in our group really enjoyed their meals. Chicken and waffle sandwich, the Leaf burger, eggs Benedict and chicken bacon ranch flat bread. Generous portions. Staff was very friendly. Service was a tad slow, but they were very busy. I highly recommend The Leaf.

This place is truly a hidden gem in Wooster Ohio. We traveled from Huron Ohio to take an overnight trip. The food is out of control delicious. They have a breakfast charcuterie board. I got crab eggs Benedict. My son got the breakfast pocket. Given the high quality products used the pricing was actually really good. We left under 50 for the two of us. We will definitely be back. So many things I would have liked to try out. Just amazing menu, staff and atmosphere.

We were a small group and enjoyed our entrees, appetizers, and desserts. I recommend their new entrée menu, the Mahi Mahi Druken Noodles, which was delicious. I really like the Beak and Skiff—1911. It had a Cider Pineapple flavor, which was refreshing. The fried pickles were alright—good to try, but not for me. Good service! We will return to The Leaf Restaurant if we are in the area. Thanks!
