Some of the dishes were a bit off. The soup was fantastic, drinks were good, but the mains seemed a bit off on all three things we got. Pasta wasn’t bad, but it was stuck together and not enough sauce to help separate it. One dish had too much salt, maybe someone split some into the dish. The third one needed spices as it was bland. They were presented very well though. The dessert was good, but maybe a touch too long on the touch for the creambule. Carmel was burnt a bit, not bad but

Wow! Honestly while looking at reviews I wanted to come here only for the drinks… However the staff and the food is what made this place great! Boutique hotel with a cute charming restaurant. I was in town for 5 days and they were only open on our last night, so glad we decided to do dinner here. Get the pasta, steak bites and the bread & butter, the herb butter… Wow. Thank you Megan and Lu for the great drinks and quick service

Everything about this place is hidden gem energy. We started bar hopping and this was our second and last stop. All the recommendations were absolutely on point and everything was hand crafted, delicious and inspiring. And our bartender Lisa was absolutely delightful the entire time. Atmosphere was warm and inviting. The whole place smells of fresh made goods, warm foods and spiced, hand crafted drinks. Absolutely make a stop here before you move on.

Staff and atmosphere are pleasant. We had $9 old fashions during happy hour and the bacon wrapped dates. Neither disappointed. We were not impressed with the remainder of the dinner items. A bit over priced for food that is not meeting the elevated price tag. All the best to this restaurant but do not think we’ll be back for family dinner.

Beautiful setting and delicious food! They offered all their cocktails as mocktails, which were beautiful and yummy! Only downside was that they didn’t have very many filling vegan options and the menu wasn’t super clearly marked with what was dairy free (although they did note gluten free).

I came here with my husband on Valentine’s Day. Lovely drinks, great food. We especially enjoyed the band who was playing for the occasion.

This is a true gem in La Grande. An awesome menu of small bites and boards that are beautifully curated and updated seasonally. There is also a full bar with select cocktails each made with care.
I’ve been several times since they opened and every dish I’ve ordered has been fantastic. The risotto and steak bites are always a favorite. The boards are absolutely stunning filled with lovely flavors and are a great portion for sharing. Be sure to try their dessert special that changes weekly and is always delicious.
Service is personal and on point. This is small plate dining at its finest with beautiful touches, a lovely atmosphere, and great music.

I grew up in La Grande and hadn’t been back in 20 yrs. The Liberty Cafe & the Laurel are allowing La Grande to offer a unique dining experience (i.e. something other than burgers). Lovely ambiance, kind owners & waiters. When Idaho is on fire, go to Oregon!

Fun, fun, fun. Delightful. Delicious. Dessert. Steak bites were eaten up before even thinking about reviewing them. An enjoyable evening out should include The Laurel.
