You ever just feel so home sick for something but not quite sure what it is you’re missing? Needing something to warm your soul or needing a good meal to just bring you some much needed comfort? Well the Latin Kitchen may just have the remedy your heart may be looking for! I can’t express enough how absolutely AMAZING my dining experience at The Latin Kitchen was last night! Chef Maribel and her team absolutely know how to throw down and each item I ordered was just so incredibly delicious! You can really taste all the love that is put in their food! Each item was made fresh and with quality ingredients. I had the shrimp Mofongo and let me tell you I felt like I was instantly transported back to Puerto Rico! The Pork Belly was just so well seasoned and so crispy and juicy! And the Empanadas were absolute heaven sent! And the garlic sauce they pair with them was the chefs kiss! My only regret was not knowing about this place sooner! But, now that I know I will become a devout regular! Thanks for the good food and welcoming hospitality Chef Maribel!

Everything we have ever had here has been absolutely delicious! The owner is very sweet and today gifted us some empanadas to try, which were amazing and we will definitely be ordering those again next time. The food is fresh, flavorful and authentic. My daughter was already asking when we can come back before we even left. The restaurant is very cute and we enjoyed the music and ambiance too. The staff is very friendly and happy to answer any questions you have about the food. We will be back for sure!

This restaurant serves traditional Puerto Rican and Dominican food in a quiet, laid-back environment with plenty of parking. The service was friendly, which made for a pleasant dining experience overall.
We started with the stuffed tostones appetizer, three tostones filled with pernil (pork). The pork itself was very flavorful and well seasoned, which we really enjoyed. However, the portion size was quite small for the price. At about $5 per tostone, it felt overpriced and not worth the cost in my opinion.
For dinner, one order was bistec encebollado with white rice and beans. The steak was thin and just okay, didn’t really look like bistec encebollado, too plain. We’re more accustomed to this dish being made with cubed steak, but preferences vary. The rice and beans, though, were very tasty and full of flavor.
Another entrée was carne guisado with Spanish rice. The rice was excellent—well seasoned and flavorful—but unfortunately, the beef was disappointing. It tasted reheated and had a slightly stale flavor, which took away from the dish.
We also tried a pork sandwich, which was flavorful and enjoyable.
Overall, most of the food was good, the service was ok, and the atmosphere was calm and comfortable. While I don’t think I would personally go back, if you’re in the mood for Caribbean food and want to try a Puerto Rican and Dominican menu, this place may be worth checking out at least once, its a hit or miss on the food.

Macomb County, we’re sleeping on this place. I can’t believe I’ve never been here before today. The menu serves several carribean/Latin dishes. We tried the Cubano sandwich with fries and the stewed chicken. Both were very good. I’m more of a white meat chicken preference and this dish was dark meat but! It was good. They offered Dominican, Puerto Rican and regular rice with 2 types of beans. The owner is very attentive and engaging. She brought two of their empanadas to the table for is to try. Again, both excellent as was the cilantro sauce. We tried a trs leche, Dominican style. It is rich and enough for two. The dining area was clean and there was room for a small party. Our bill was about 50.00 including a coke
Highly recommend a stop if you’re looking for authentic Latin food!

Great Latin home cooked style dining option. I tried the Tradituonal with Chicken, and it was absolutely delicious. The waitress was helpful and knowledgeable about various items on the menu. First time visitors were offered a sample of their awesome Empanadas. The atmosphere feels like a mom and pop atmosphere. The dining room is small and cozy. The price range was appropriate for the large portions provided. Overall, I will return because there were many more items I would love to try.

I am Dominican and I haven’t had Dominican food in a year and a half (I don’t cook it lol) so we drove an hour to get here and let me tell you it was 100% worth it.

The place looked so nice and clean, service was so good and the food… oh my goodness! THE FOOD! I’ve had Latin food before in Arizona and I haven’t had anything as good as this restaurant.

We got a tres golpes, a sandwich cubano and I got a pernil with Puerto Rican rice plate to take home. I just had it for dinner and it was 10/10

I can’t wait to go back! Oh and my oldest daughter LOVED the morir soñando!

As a born and raised New Yorker, I am always searching for delicious Hispanic food. I came here to celebrate my 36th bday with family that drove here from Virginia. The owner of the restaurant was incredibly sweet. She had come from NY as well, so you know the food was absolutely amazing. She even went out of her way to gift my sister and I a little dessert. I will definitely be going back here in the future.

This is my new favorite restaurant, hands down! I can’t decide if the food or the service is better. The Cuban sandwich is perfect and super filling, and the Cuban coffee was amazing! Seriously, go try The Latin Kitchen.
