It’s great that the hotel has a little bar that stays open until 11:00 PM. The drink menu has quite a few options, making it a wonderful spot to relax and unwind.

Food was delicious, had the salmon and shrimp (prawn) pasta. Bit pricey… USD to AUD conversion made this a $195 meal.

We had our wedding this last October. We stumbled across this place by chance when looking at other venues in the area. We feel in love with the view from the terrace which is where we had our ceremony and reception. We were impressed by the front reception staff immediately and booked our wedding about one year in advance. We met with Chelsea our on site Event Sales Manager, and things started off good. But we shortly there after felt like we were a nuisance by asking just a few questions, and we are low maintenance. You should plan on guests staying in other hotels as the wedding party booking process is a PIA, or perhaps this was just the case with our Event Manager, any questions took weeks or more to get a response. On top of that we reviewed pricing one year in advance at what we assumed was our guests budget, but we did not realize that the cost of a room about doubles with all their hidden fees.

When we asked for a few minutes to meet and review some details of the site to figure out how and where we had access, and tried to coordinate it with a Sunday Wedding Open House, we were told that was her day off. I asked if she was going to the Open House which she said she was, everything made us feel unappreciated. We literally had 10 minutes of Q&A, which mostly revolved around where things were, what we had access to, so we could start planning decor, and things of that nature. We requested a 30 day prior meeting on site, with our wedding coordinator and Event Sales manager, as we want to review all last details and do a food sampling. Chelsea failed to respondto us or to our Coordinator, nor did she show up. Our coordinator had to call her manager to see what was going on, finally got her cell phone, she said she was working from home that day.

We literally had no phone calls from our Event Sales Manager for the final 3 months. Once they have your money and commitment they no longer appreciate you or want to put any energy into you. Our Event Sales Coordinator ended up going to her high school reunion the weekend of our wedding, which would be fine if she informed us and told us an alternate contact should any issues arise, but it was a no call no show. Luckily our wedding coordinator was amazing, and had done many weddings at this site.

They did REQUIRE a tip in advance of 20%. I asked than about if a tip jar would be placed at the bar and was told no that it would not. When we and the wedding party got down to the reception well after everyone else already there we found that there was a tip jar where they were asking all guest for more tips!! With no point of contact on site, we did nothing during the wedding as we wanted to focus on our day and deal with issues afterwards.

After the wedding we spoke with her manager Keeley, told her of the main shortcomings during the process, in which she admitted things did not go as they should. When I asked for a few hundred dollars back for the double tipping I was told no way. She spoke with corporate and GM and they did not care, once they have you money.

All the other people onsite were great. But if you go here, do not pay final amount until after the wedding. Challenge the up front tips, and be prepared that after you give them money they no longer care about making your day special.

The Landing refused to respond to a complaint from the Better Business Bureau.

The dinner experience at The Landing was a pleasant surprise. We went in without much expectations only because we were staying at their hotel. However the food was delicious and the service was extraordinary at fairly decent prices. The wild mushroom soup and garlic shrimp are must try. Chicken wings was good. Butter chicken was ok but not very appealing to my Indian expectations.

Seated quickly. After eleven mins we got water. “ your server will be with you shortly “ waiting…….out of the seven seated tables only one had food. $9 bottle beer $11 for a draft beer. Eighteen mins later. not sure if they have jalapeno for my burger. We will see. Waiting… nine mins later I ask ; do you have jalapeno? He said I’ll put in the order and find out. Hmm … food is out but didn’t track the time. Raw jalapeno but burger looks good in the end food was good.

The Landing: A Predictable Pitstop

As a self-proclaimed foodie with a discerning palate, The Landing near SFO offered a familiar, if slightly uninspired, experience. While service was undeniably charming – thanks to Ann, a waitress whose smile could melt airport stress – the food itself left me wanting a bit more.

My choice, the “farmers scramble,” arrived on a pre-warmed plate, a positive touch. However, the scrambled egg whites themselves were a rather standard execution. The expected medley of vegetables – bell peppers, potatoes, and anions (presumably onions) – lacked the vibrant punch one might expect from fresh, local produce. The sourdough toast, a welcome inclusion, was saved by the real, softened butter – a small detail, but often overlooked.

Overall, The Landing is a perfectly acceptable option for a quick and convenient meal near SFO. Ann’s service is a bright spot, and the use of real butter a pleasant surprise. But for the discerning foodie, the lack of culinary innovation and potentially pre-prepared ingredients might leave you wanting a more exciting, locally-sourced experience.

Breakfast was delicious with good coffee and ambiance! Waiter “Luis” was helpful and attentive. Husband had best corned beef hash ever- handmade with trimmed chunks of corned beef and nicely cooked potato chunks. My spinach frittata was also delicious and came with a small fresh salad – enjoyed the dressing and candied pecans- with grape tomatoes- perfect. We did not expect much from a hotel restaurant but this was better than many places we have been!

We enjoyed our dinner here! The grilled New York steak was very tender, juicy, and flavorful, and the grilled broccolini and garlic confit marble potatoes were well-seasoned and very tasty.

The Ruben (corned beef with sauerkraut with melted Swiss cheese on toasted marble rye) was savory and delicious, and the skin on steak fries were so good! Lightly salted, and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

There are three seating sections: the atrium, bar, and the main restaurant area. The restaurant was comfortable and quiet. Very clean restrooms are located across the hotel lobby, down a plush carpeted hallway.

We highly recommend The Landing Restaurant for its friendly service, comfortable ambiance, and delicious food!

The servers /bar are attentive.

The food was terrible. The vegetarian burger tasted like meat and looked like meat was slimy. Not sure it was vegetarian! We sent the food back everything was greasy. The regular burger was dry the bun and cheese was greasy. Not sure what happened here!
Better quality ingredients suggested!?
