4.5 stars Billy is a great waiter. The whole staff is very good. My daughter dropped her folk and a new one was at the table in less than a minute. I had the eggs Benedict that was incredible. One of the persons with us had the French toast also amassing. My daughter had the avocado toast with nova lox and she said it was delicious. Drinks were great. Nice and strong but not killer. Will definitely go back for brunch.

The statement ” don’t judge a book by its cover” stands true for the Landing, on the outside it looks nice and clean but the experience from the time you sit is horrific the service out of the kitchen is terrible… from the time you order to the time it comes out it is amazingly long and to only get served cold food. The sad part is what you order off the menu and what you get are two different things the descriptions on the menu sound wonderful what comes out of that kitchen is amazingly pathetic. There are not many places on the island to eat and like a fool on my part I keep giving this place a second third and fourth chance, just giving it the old okay maybe they had a bad day or maybe they were just too busy well I’ve come to the conclusion that they just are a terrible place to have a nice meal. Trust me I tried to speak to a manager and or the owner only to be told that nobody is here.

Food went way down. Rigatoni Bolognese is just dry noodles with meat Chicken milanese use to have a balsamic glaze and be dressed. Food is a 5/10 at best and service is really slow

My meal was delicious (egg breakfast) and my bloody maria was perfect, but the standout that earned the 5 stars was the all-around exceptional staff! This is a tourist destination and I’m sure they deal with some of the worst, but wow, everyone had a smile on their face and made me feel welcomed from the second I walked through the door! I even pulled the manages aside to compliment the staff. I look forward to returning for dinner!

I’ve never experienced such horrible service at a restaurant before. We asked for bread and our waiter said sure no problem before another waiter came back and said bread would be $15 and that they only have pita bread. We declined because we didn’t want pita bread and our bill was then charged twice for it. We asked for ketchup with our orders since most of them came with fries. We had to ask our waiter twice and another busboy for ketchup before we were given it- it took over 30 minutes. How do you not ask or automatically bring a few cups of ketchup when the meals come with fries? My fries were ice cold and I was finished and no longer needed it when they finally brought it over. My friend asked for red pepper flakes and never received them. Our food took way too long to come and was not hot. I would understand if the restaurant was busy but it was not- that’s why we went there. Overall I would never come here again and never recommend anyone to eat here. The atrocious service completely ruined our experience.

This place has decent food, however, the issue is the poor service. Waiter only gave us 1 napkin to share between 2 people, and rudely handed the check to us as if we were lower than him. The old bay fries had good flavor but was stale and our side salad had no dressing but simply washed greens so my friend had to eat it plain. I’m not sure if other people were treated like that, and being that we were people of color I can’t help but think this was the reasoning when the male bartender/waiter treated others in a nicer way. I wanna like this place, but I’m not sure

Absolute trash. The place is disgusting. The glasses are gross. The floor is sickening. Sticky, wet, full garbage. Had to ask them to come over and clean it. The drinks are disgusting. I’m not evening going to attempt to order the food (edit: did end up ordering guacamole and pita. The guac was just pastey green goo and clearly scrapped from some pre-made generic package) . Such a shame. It has a nice view. To be fair, all of the restaurants in Ocean Beach are garbage. It’s a matter of finding the best of the worst.Except the pizza. Pixza is great. Complete trash service. This is what happens when you hire a bunch of 14 year olds getting paid nothing to run a place. I’m not paying for these “rocket fuels”. I don’t even know what this is. It’s disgusting. Got 1 for my wife and 1 for myself. They both tasted different. Both extremely watery, tasted nothing like alcohol, kind of tasted like pineapple (what it is supposed to taste like) and had some other off putting taste that was different between the 2. Went down to Castaways and got a great one. I was not rude to your waitress. What happened was we were sat down and I was shocked about how truly disgusting the floor was. I simply asked that it be cleaned. Then we were given disgusting dirty menus which is when I decided I was too grossed out to stay there. For the record, we were sitting next to a couple who was equally grossed out and they left before us. You know you can do better, come on.

Came here on two separate occasions. The first was a brunch that was advertised as a “pride” brunch with a special deals/dishes. There was no indication or decor celebrating pride in the restaurant and the only deal that was told to us when I asked about the specials was $5 tequila shot. On the second occasion the waitress made a mistake and brought one of my friends the wrong meal. Since my friend is a nice person, she said it was fine and she would just eat it. After having a few bites and not liking the dish, my party asked the waitress to provide her the original order. When they gave us the original order (turkey burger) – the bun was missing which was odd. On the bill we were charged for both meals and when I politely asked the waitress to remove the incorrect meal, she argued that my friend ate both meals and was completely unaccommodating. They refused to take off the meal despite them making a mistake which to me is unacceptable. As nice as the waitress was, there was also a language barrier and appeared to be only young children running the restaurant. Probably would not recommend or return here.

Our waiter, Aiden was quick to get us drinks when we sat down. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and was happy to answer ALL of our questions. We were quite pleased with appetizers he recommended: muscles and the fried calamari. We also enjoyed the pesto shrimp which was delicious as well. I am happy we chose to eat at the Landing!

Lovely place with good food and laid back atmosphere. Tried the mussels in a Curry sauce and were delicious (the ones in the white wine sauce were bland). The Manchego salad was tasty, as well as the bread that comes with the mussels. Good drinks are served throughout the day although the Happy hour Margarita is way too small. The service is good, if you take in consideration that the life on the island has its own pace.
