Tucson natives Scott and Fini met as summer lifeguards in 1987. While proving to be opposites in demeanor, they found common ground on their tastes regarding straw hats, music, bottle openers and flip-flops.The Landing is born of a collage of influences from the waterfront communities ranging from the Caribbean, the Florida Keys, Mexico and Southern California. Monday night football was on, about 30% of the restaurant was full & the acoustics were fine.
The La Paz fish taco was quite good.
As was the Ahi Poké Wasabi- if you like a bit of heat. Unique!

Would not reorder the ‘elote’ corn shrimp. Not so much elote as fish fry breaded shrimp.

We had an early dinner here yesterday, we happened to come in during the happy hour (2p-6p), the noise level was high but that’s what I’d expect from a Sports bar venue.
The prices are reasonable, from what we ordered my favorite were the La Paz fish tacos, they are delicious! Crunchy, not soggy, good sized portions and the toppings were just right too. The Mini Nachos not so good, the tortilla chips are really thin (like the ones you get at the grocery store, not home made) so they get soggy pretty fast. My husband ordered the Corn breaded shrimp and it was just OK, tiny shrimp but we expected that. They have a special on Fish and Chips on Fridays for $15 which we are planning to try next.

The Landing continues to get better and better, and this visit was highlighted by 10-star service from Maddy. Maddy is always pleasant with a warm & genuine smile and, oh so friendly. We could just come in for a dose of her sunshine and cheerfulness alone. When we were trying to decide between sweet potato fries or standard, Maddy said, no worries, I can give you a half of each! Who does that? But the Sayulita and La Paz Tacos are phenomenal too. The Sayulita is my fave with blackened cod and pineapple pico. My bride loves the fried cod La Paz Taco (normally $6.50 and only $4 on happy hour). Choose either flour or corn with a side of Charro Beans. We have yet to try the seared and blackened Ahi Tuni salad, as it looks absolutely delicious. Maybe next time. By the way, if you aren’t lucky enough to have Maddy serve you, don’t worry. Gabe and Isaac are both people pleasers too with equally energetic and cheerful dispositions. Can’t go wrong at The Landing in Oro Valley.

I gotta be honest, this place was sorta dead both times I’ve went. But other than that, it’s pretty awesome. The food was really good. The service was great. Isaac the waiter was just so personable, friendly and always there when we needed him. The birria tacos were everything my taste buds asked for. My gf had a quesadilla and it was awesome. Unfortunately, prices are a bit high for this little town but it was still less pricy than my home town of NYC. I’ll keep going from time to time as it’s always a great experience.

We had the Carne Asada street tacos. You had the choice of corn or flour tortilla. I chose the traditional corn, yummy. My margarita had plenty of salt on the rim, just how it should be. Our waitress (I forgot her name ) was very nice and checked on us regularly. We were in Tucson for 3 days to go up to Mount Lemmon. We went to the location in Oro Valley. Great food, great atmosphere!

Not a bad place to stop for food. I feel the food items are a little pricey. The burger was great, fresh and juicy, cooked perfect. The server was very friendly and attentive, although we were there late. The place was clean with plenty of seating.

Intimate sports bar, with a great menu selection. I really enjoyed the northern, private vibe. Bri took great care of my Son and I as I was visiting the Wildcat from out of town.
Everything we ordered for lunch was made to perfection as the chef knows how to prepare a nice, med-rare burger. Please make sure to order the cheesecake churros w/ ice cream. Absolutely fantastic! I stopped snapping pics!
