Food and atmosphere are great. Service is good, wait staff is pleasant and kind. However, do not expect attention to detail when it comes to reservations. If you request a specific location for a table (window seat) they will guarantee it to you over the phone but not delivery the day of. They may offer you a seat immediately adjacent to a brick wall as an equivalent. Frustrating but not a deal breaker.

This is one place that if you drive downtown you might just overlook as the outside does not scream lakeside .. fine dining.. rather warehouse. However, recently they open for lunch service and a friend and I decided to try it out, he had been there previously before for dinner service. As this was my first visit I didn’t know what to expect. As you step inside, you immediately get that fine dinning experience with gorgeous views of the waterfront and their garden out back. I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken and chose the house salad, both were delicious and I was happy to see that I didn’t have to spend 10 minutes cutting everything up on my salad before I ate it. If I have one complaint about the Teriyaki Chicken it would be I wish there was more sauce on it. My friend got sushi rolls and we both love the fact that there is rice on the outside of the roll, which helps to cover up the seaweed. He let me try one of his sushi rolls and wow it was light and refreshing and delicious.. something I’m not sure I have ever said about a sushi roll. Overall the service was great and while the prices may seem a little high for lunch I do think you get great quality tasting food with a beautiful atmosphere. If you are in the area don’t drive by, stop in and have some sushi rolls you will not regret it.

f you have not been to the original Landing perhaps you would be okay with the quality, etc. In my opinion, the following lacked the previous owners’ attention to detail:
fish (both the entree I had and the sushi roll I sampled were average)
salad (basic iceberg lettuce with tomato compared with the loaded up version-olives, peppers)…additionally, the lettuce had a ting of brown which was not affecting the taste-pro: dressing seemed like the original and very good
Would I return? Most likely not. Plenty of other options in the area.

This restaurant is now known as Kashiwa. While it has a a number of meat and seafood offerings, its sushi selection is very generous. Both my wife and I selected steak and both were cooked to our liking. The presentation was very nicely done. The oysters were outstanding. We will be back.

Left the same review on the Kashiwa page, but I’ve lived in Seattle for 13 years where there is a lot of great sushi, and this is genuinely some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. They obviously have excellent sources on fish and the chef makes beautiful rolls.

The server was pleasant, the service was very fast although we were the first ones there at 4:00. The coconut shrimp was pretty good, the season pan fried walleye was average. Calamari appetizer was excellent. In total, 2 entrees, one appetizer, side salad and three drinks, and one dessert $150. We enjoyed the Bay view very much.

I was going through my photos and realized I hadn’t reviewed this place. They were great! We were in the area back in June 2023, working, and were a little under dressed. But the service was excellent anyways, very friendly. The food was perfect. I got Dutchman’s Platter (lobster, scallops, shrimp, and salmon). Feast! It was excellent, perfectly cooked, and a very good value for the price. I’d definitely go there again.

Great selection of seafood. The scallops were delicious! Great atmosphere with friendly service. Many seats have lake views. Dress code is flexible – casual and fancy all fit in! And don’t skip dessert!

The whole experience was absolutely fantastic! Food was great! Ambience was awesome! Staff was so very welcoming and we felt at home! But our server, Brittany P., you were nothing short of perfection! The absolute best service, attitude and overall presence that we’ve experienced in a very long time! For that, THANK YOU! I’ll be back for sure before we head back home!
