Enormous portions! I could stretch this up to a week’s worth of food haha. Brisket was fall-apart tender, very meaty. As were the ribs, though slightly tougher at the ends. Slathered in a generous BBQ sauce. I think BBQ sauce is too sweet and one-note for my liking, but it was decent. I’ve always wanted to try collard greens and they taste like what I thought they would—albeit this one was way too sweet for my liking and had pulled pork mixed in. The fried brussels sprouts were my favourite. Robust with a lovely crispy charred exterior and tender inside. Quite heavily salted. Originally came with maple syrup but I requested to have it in the side. And the maple syrup was delicious, not too sweet at all and surprisingly brightened up the greasy heaviness of it all. Cornbread was very buttery and rich. The fried chicken sandwich was incredible—deliciously seasoned throughout, the crust was deep-fried to golden-brown perfection and the meat was tender and juicy. Our waitress was very friendly, cheerful and attentive. The place was very loud, especially when there’s live music playing so if you’re sensitive to overstimulation, I’d suggest bringing something to dampen the noise. Still, it was a warm place with a lively atmosphere.

We got to try the brisket, the pulled pork and the ribs. All three were good.
The 3-platter had roughly 2/3 brisket compare to the single brisket meal. Overall the platters seem to be a better deal and you’re definitely gonna have leftovers too :))
The creamy corn was on the sweet side a bit like pudding, I had some as dessert.
I couldn’t try the fries, because of cross contaminated. The raised collar green also a bit sweet.
And the cornbread had also gluten which they brought on a separate plate after I mentioned my Celiac allergy.

We had no reservations and waited for 15-20 minutes. But the better tables were reserved. So if you know when you’re gonna go, putting a reservation is a good idea.

The interior is cozy with lot of lights and throughout the whole dining time it was almost busy. Noise level is ok tho.

Lancaster Smokehouse in Kitchener is an absolutely wonderful place.

The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and full of character — the kind of place where you instantly feel comfortable and want to stay longer. It’s perfect both for a relaxed dinner and for special occasions.

The staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. From the moment you walk in, you feel genuinely taken care of, and the service is smooth without feeling rushed.

The food is outstanding. Everything we tried was incredibly flavorful, perfectly cooked, and clearly made with care. You can really taste the quality and effort in every dish. Portions are generous, and the menu has something for everyone.

Overall, this is a fantastic spot with a great atmosphere, amazing food, and excellent service. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be coming back!

Decent experience. Sides were all really good but the meat was a bit of a letdown, also the foods were kind of cold when they got to us and we were a party of 2.

Fried green tomatoes were excellent.

Montreal smoked meat sandwich: flavor was good, but the bread was dry and the meats were cut pretty thick.

Ribs were okay at best, they were unfortunately pretty dry and cold when they got to us which was a let down. good portion size though.

mac and cheese was good
brussels sprouts were crunchy but a little too sweet. collard greens were too vinegary and i’ve definitely had better. the fries were nice

Good atmosphere at the restaurant, was quite busy for a thursday night. prices were reasonable

Had dinner here last night as a party of about 10 for my friends birthday. Got the northern salad and the 2 meat do combo. Everything was amazing!

The salad was so huge you could take home half for the next night

Stopped because of a random trip to Waterloo during a winter storm. Great place. If you’re looking for smoked meats, this is the place. LARGE portions especially the PLATTERS. My buddy got the brisket sandwich and you’ll see from the pics how much meat there is. I get the Montreal smoked meat poutine, with Montreal curds. Both of us left very very satisfied. We will definitely go back for one of the platters. Conveniently located close to the highway, and a relatively large parking lot. Also a massive place inside. With lots of seating as I’m assuming most customers are groups enjoying and sharing platters and food. For the smoked meats lover, this is the place !!

I will rate 5 stars because I am not able to rate any higher. The service was great. The server was very fast but not in a rushy way. She was friendly and always smiling. The sandwich was so big I had to take it apart to eat it and by fay the best dirty pulled pork I have ever eaten. The coleslaw and the gravy was top notch as well. The fries were overcooked and dried out as they broke into pieces when I tried to pick them up with my fork. I would not let that change my rating as everything else was great and for a decent price. I am sure the fry situation was a one off. Maybe the bottom of the fryer. I will return the next time I am in Kitchener for sure.

It has been at least a year since we dined here last, and the experience was mostly positive but not as good as we remember it being.
Food portions: large and generous so great for leftovers
Price: a little pricey but considering we get more than a meal out of it, it’s not bad.
Food: we ordered the half rack ribs which came with sweet potato fries and fried Brussels as well as the 2 meat platter (brisket and pulled pork) with tater tots and coleslaw. The brisket was delicious, pulled pork was tender but the ribs were chewy and all meats lacked sauce. All the sides were solid though.
Service: a little slow, but it was surprisingly busy for Monday lunchtime. Our server was polite and nice.
Overall: still a good (two) meals, though we felt like the food used to be better.

Food was incredible! Pulled pork and brisket were delicious.
The waitress also was nice and funny! She’s has Portuguese background and told us good stories about her family farm back home.
