We stopped in for lunch at The Lakehouse and wow—what a fantastic experience! We started with the sampler appetizer (fried mushrooms, onion rings, and cheese sticks). Every bite was cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Absolutely delicious! The portions were generous, so we took half to go because there was no way we were leaving a bite behind.
For the main course, I ordered the baked catfish with rice, coleslaw, and beans. The fish was baked perfectly—tender, flaky, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Such a perfect combination! My husband had the fried catfish and said it was outstanding—truly the treat of the Hill Country.
Our server was welcoming, attentive, and spot on with everything. Great service, delicious food, and a warm atmosphere—we can’t wait to come back!

The food was delicious and in large quantities. The river view is great. Experienced waitress was attentive. 2 things to be aware of at this place. The Guadalupe river is a few feet away. There is yet plenty of debris laying around. My boys found 4 items that surely were part of human loss due to the flood. Why has your back yard not been cleared? Also. We do not buy farmed fish. So we will not return. Consider serving fresh caught for better quality.

Good restaurant, with a terrific view of the river! My favorite part of my meal was the loaded baked potato. I really appreciated the amount of toppings that come with it. The catfish was just okay- over breaded and underseasoned in my opinion. Still happy to have stopped by!

Not what I was expecting. We had the Mahi and rice it lacked taste. The shrimp was pretty good. My biggest complaint was service. The waiter was not very friendly and even the cashier was apathetic. Maybe this place is all about their catfish but I wouldn’t return based off their service alone. I expected more from a restaurant by the river.
