First time customer here. Longtime PhÔ lover. Noodles taste stale and NOT fresh. They may be prepping ahead of time, I’m assuming. I could definitely taste it being off. Broth was delightful. Small amount of veggies which was ok. The vermicelli noodles quality is my only complaint but it’s a big one.

I typically don’t give 3 stars unless absolutely needed.

I came here because of the high rating but was quite disappointed. It is quite expensive for the value you got. There is no menu, you go to the counter and order. Not a lot of options. We dining in, but the vegetables were placed in a bag like for to go with very little quantity.
The fried rice is quite plain.
No spoon so we have to ask. Portion is small compared to other Viet restaurants. If you want authentic Viet food then it is not the right place.

It will be my first time and my last time.

When this place was run by the original owners, it was easily the best pho in the area and a true Midtown staple. Sadly, that’s no longer the case. I had it last night and it was the worst pho I’ve ever had with bland broth, noticeably smaller portions, and a rude employee. If this is truly the garden’s son running it now, he should be ashamed of what he’s done to what was once a beloved Harrisburg restaurant. I won’t be ordering again. There are far better pho options anywhere from Harrisburg to Mechanicsburg.

I’ve been to this place for about a couple years now. Have been a staple considering being in the Centre City of Harrisburg & in college.
But my experience but rather different.. i ordered a side of Egg rolls, and was Served a STAINED bowl, and was insisted it is “clean”. I felt uncomfortable being that being a Server myself would never serve someone such!
Did not think to take picture because again been going for so long.. kind to say i will be not returning a bit. Due to loss of hospitality & service.

I have left two photos to show what I ordered versus what I received. 3 shrimp and all that rice for $16.00 is insane.

My first time eating at this location. The staff was friendly and the meal was great. Correct portion size as well. Will certainly return and try other menu items.

Super bummed. We used to LOVE this place when it was The Garden. Had an issue with a double charge a few months back with no resolution. Decided that everyone makes mistakes and came back a few times since. Each time has been ok, but tonight was so disappointing. Ordered Thai Rice with shrimp and paid additional extra money for extra shrimp along with a grilled pork rice plate. When I got home, I was shocked to only see six total shrimp. The flavor was super bland in the rice (it used to be amazing!) and the grilled pork in the rice plate was just two dry slabs of minimally seasoned pork. We miss the old days at this place, for sure.

This place had REALLY good food. Fresh, hot, and tasty! Vegetable pho with tofu and fresh veggies, the rare beef pho, and some takeout of the lo-mein with vegetables dinner was delicious. Shrimp spring rolls were filled and fresh. It’s a bit of a hike for me, but I will DEFINITELY be back and recommend it to my friends.
