The La Pit came up on my Instagram feed, looked good wasn’t too far had to try it. I got there one evening 1hr before closing time. The owner cool dude, explained the menu to us since I let him know I was a 1st time customer. We made out choices pretty much to plates feed 3 of us, food was great, beans Mac n cheese as well. Prices are pretty much equal to other BBQ joints I’ve been too. I will definitely be back to taste something different.

I was appauled to see the state of this restaurant with door boarded up and owner giving me the 2 of 1 meats for $17.99 each for my Groupon offer. The food was greasy and was lacking any scent, flavor, and left with a heavy sense of despair and gloom after owner tells me how much he lost in his business ventures. I am for the food, not for counseling. Shouldn’t feel guilty for what he lost, nor excited for one extra piece of rib to change my reviews. I will not return to his part of the town, nor this restaurant. Please do something like getting professional help over his lists and then rebrand when he gets a new team he trusts. Right now it is one man show with little to no business. Take my review with a grain of salt and learn to move forward.

I went to The LA Pit today for the first time and I was truly disappointed. The pricecwas much too high, the mac & cheese had no favor and the beans taste like can pork and bean. No favor. II ordered the one meat plate, and actually the brisket was tender. The guy working at the counter was friendly and my order was quick. It c was only me and another customer there.

Awesome customer service! Such kind people. The little lady at the front desk as well as the cook in the kitchen showed 1950’s hospitality in the day and age when people are so caught up with the hustle and bustle of every day problems they seemed as if they didn’t have a problem at all. C lear examples of NOT bringing your problems to work! Because of them my barbecue experience was simply Awesome OH, by the way the food was excellent as well.

Excellent BBQ place! Best in L.A.! Had a craving for some good BBQ and this place definitely hit the spot and then some. We tried the family pack and the brisket, turkey, sausages and all the sides were SO delicious. Highly recommend this place! We will definitely be coming back. Please give LA Pit a try—you’ll be so glad you did!

Well I got a Groupon and came in with my friend we wanted to order a plate with 2meats and 2side and we couldn’t, usually with a Groupon you pay the extra cost but they didnt work like that.. so I when on my own a other day the guy was really respectful since the beginning I got the pull pork for what it was good small amount but it was on a $20. Plate the i purchase for $12.60 so I can’t complain … I would just recommend to the owners to allow us to purchase what we want and take the $20 in to the bill so ppl can go and try the spot with out a problem and and on the potato salad some ppl put paprika for better taste and look

First time at the LA Pit today. I was absolutely disappointed. It was a bit pricey for what I purchased but I understand bbq is high these days. This should be the case for flavor-mac & cheese had none and the potatoe salad tasted store bought. I ordered chicken wings. All the pieces were hard. Some were cut in half and tasted old. I have never been a person to waste food but I just could not finish it. Even with Baby Rays sauce, it was too hard and unpleasant to eat. The older woman there was very welcoming and pleasant. Unfortunately, there is no need for a return visit. Ugh!

Amazing! Ribs and briskets were tender and juicy! JC sausage was flavorful and phenomenal! The spicy bbq sauce was perfect with a hint of tangy and spicy ness. The owner, Rishab, was friendly and personable. He took pride in his food and restaurant. I highly recommend this spot. I will definitely will be back again.

Not much going on around the time I went but the owner was real nice and definitely hooked me up even tho my options were limited with my groupon voucher. Not a fan of bbq sauce much but this one is banging . Pulled pork was pretty good and the Mac n cheese is a grade better than average. I’d say it’s worth a try. Wish I could’ve tried the brisket with my voucher.
