Reviews are so divided! Here’s why: the Chinese food is great (Sichuanese dishes and Cantonese dishes), but the Americanized dishes are, well, typical (General Tso’s chicken, orange chicken, etc). Check out the photo. Pork dumplings (two kinds), shrimp dumpling, bean curd rolls, Cantonese won ton soup. You can’t go wrong ordering from the Dim Sum menu. The regular menu, meanwhile, offers some great Sichuanese dishes that are nice and spicy.

This is my favorite restaurant in Lansing, Michigan. It is a hole in the wall with the best Chinese food I’ve ever tasted. I go so much they recognize me and my order. I understand some people might not be as adventurous or just go to this place to eat American Chinese food. You’d be doing a disservice to the amazing Szechuan cuisine they offer. Try the Spicy Tomato Fish or any of the Dim Sum dishes. As long as your kind to the waitresses, you will have a wonderful experience.

If I can give ZERO stars for this place I would. My mom and I came here for lunch to try their buns. Everything started off fine we got the mini dumplings, a steamed bun, and a pan fried meat bun as well as an order of the garlic bok choy. When the food came the waitress brought a shrimp fried bun instead of meat. I told her that we didn’t order the shrimp buns because I don’t eat shrimp. The waitress stared to have an attitude because she brought the wrong order, we then told her ok never mind and ordered a salted egg bun. The waitress said you will not like it because it’s runny. We like runny egg yolks so we told her it fine. However she failed to mention it was sweet even though on the menu they have listed as salted. When we asked her about it thinking maybe she gave us the wrong dumpling again as it also didn’t look anything like the one on the menu, she quickly became nasty and spoke to us with an attitude. She clearly can’t communicate and when a customer asks questions about the menu she is combative. To add to this the bok choy was not properly cleaned there was still dirt in between the leaves.

Excellent, food and service are just as good as they were at Golden Wok. Will be going back.

I hadn’t tried Dim Sum before, but that’s what I had. The food was good, just not as spicy as I usually like. The server was friendly and fast.

This is usually my goto place for Chinese food, the Hong Kong crispy chicken and the assorted meat pan fried noodles are my favorites. Hands down. Tonight was totally different. The pan fried noodles were so cooked/fried they were burned and extremely hard. The sauce and meat that come with it was half full and nowhere near enough to soften the noodles as it is intended. Most of the noodles were set aside after trying to mix them and they were either breaking or stuck together not being able to be separated. Not to mention the meat was mainly pork, which was fatty and unappetizing,I put them all to the side.

First time eating here and never again! Fried rice had a horrible strange taste, sesame chicken was absolutely disgusting looked translucent with very small pieces of all not good looking dark meat, crab Rangoons were rubbery and glossy. Threw it all away. Non friendliness and the place was cluttered and dirty looking. Not sure how this place is still in business after reading all the reviews. Health department should definitely be taking a close look at this place.

Food had a weird taste. Egg rolls were over cooked and dripping in oil. Crab rangoon was under cooked.
