I had no idea that this pub has been open for 7 years, but I wish I did. Service was perfect. Andrew was on top of everything and was wonderful to make sure all of my dietary needs were met. Im allergic to nuts and peaches, so he tweaked their signature cocktails to make sure I could safely have the. The food was fantastic!! You could tell the burger patties were freshly made, all sauces are made in house, and my husband steak was on point. Our kids were thrilled with the kids menu and house made mac and cheese. Im not thrilled to be in that area of abq, but the parking lot was brightly lit and monitored through all the large windows.
We will definitely return!

Update August 2025. Since my last review, the restaurant has made significant staffing changes. There was no weight for seating and or drinks. The owner Gerry came by to talk with us and apologize for our bad experience on last visit. For that reason, I’ve updated the review to five stars
Prior review: The Kosmos restaurant has excellent food and a very unique eclectic environment. We waited at least 20 minutes to be seated and there were tables open. The hostess looked at us, but didn’t acknowledge it would be a wait to be seated. For some reason, she seated people that came behind us ahead of us
The waiter came to our table quickly and took our drink order, but then it took another 10 minutes for the drinks to come out.
It gets five stars for the ambience and zero stars for the service. That’s why I gave this restaurant a low rating.
Built in a converted warehouse it has a space age decor. There’s a nice outdoor seating area if the weather is good. It’s located in a warehouse area and a little bit hard to find because there’s no street signage.
The kitchen is absolutely excellent.
If you don’t mind waiting to be seated and for your drinks and food to come out, then I highly recommend a visit to The Kosmos

The ambiance is an interesting, artistic mix of universe/planetary themes. Lots of visuals to explore and take in. The service was friendly. The food was amazing! I had the afghan rice with chutney, the kids and Mark had burgers with Sputnik fries. X also had the Mac and cheese – all were thrilled with their meals. A fun place to dine and unwind!

Our visit was disappointing. The service was lacking, with servers rarely present and our appetizers forgotten without an apology.
We tried the recommended chicken sandwich and fish, but both were bland. The chicken was overcooked, and only the sauces salvaged the dishes slightly. We initially thought the place had just opened, and if that were true, we might consider returning. However, another reviewer mentioned they’ve been open for seven years, which makes us doubt any improvements. Overall, we definitely won’t be returning.
Update: We both got an upset stomach within an hour of eating.

We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. I had the BBQ burger and the Sputnik fries. However, two people in my group had the Afghan Rice with Chicken and loved it. The Afghan Rice had a very fragrant smell, which made me think I should have gotten it too. I didn’t notice that they charged a 20% service fee until after the I received the electronic receipt to my email. The waiter did not mention it to us and I initially felt that this was a shady business practice. However, management apologized and refunded the service fee. I would recommend this restaurant as everyone in my group enjoyed their meal and the management does care about providing a great service to people. The restaurant is right next to the railroad tracks (like right out the door) but the train horn was actually quite amusing when the train was passing buy; kids will love this! Looking forward to returning to the Kosmos and thanks to management for caring about the service they provide!

I love The Kosmos! I’ve been a few times and always had great food and great service. Their menu is perfect for someone like me who loves to try new flavors and foods & for my husband and daughter who like to keep it simple. The chicken wings are so delicious & impressed my husband who is extremely picky and hard to impress! My daughter is always willing to go eat at The Kosmos and eat Sputnik fries! This is a win for us!
On my most recent visit I got the steak sandwich for the first time. It was unbelievably good!! I think it is a top 3 meal I’ve ever had at a restaurant, it was incredible, and the price for such a quality dish was extremely reasonable.
Definitely check this place out!

The service provided by Amalia was wonderful. She was very professional, kind, and attentive, which made the experience pleasant.
Unfortunately, the food did not quite meet my expectations. My hamburger looked very different from the picture shown on the website menu, and the meat portion was much smaller than anticipated. The fries I ordered on the side were a bit overcooked. I chose not to send the food back, but I didn’t enjoy the meal as much as I had hoped.
Considering the price, I was expecting a higher level of quality. While the service was excellent, I’m unsure if I would try this restaurant again based on the food experience.

Sorry I don’t have a better pic, but this is seriously good food!
The Miso Mushroom burger was a delicious balance of salty miso, umami mushrooms, and sweet grilled onions. The Pear and Goat Cheese salad was beautiful and featured both, and sang with the beets and pistachios.
It’s a great place with great food and a great vibe!

Stopped here based on good reviews. Sadly, our experience didn’t live up to expectations.
Sarah, the server had an immediate attitude at the table, annoyed that we didn’t order drinks. That set the tone for the rest of the meal. She barely had two words to say to us. She did manage a weak thank you when she brought the bill.
I had the green chili and blue cheese burger. It was $13.50 without fries. It was undercooked, almost to the point of being rare. The green chili and blue cheese were tasty.
Companion had the biria tacos. Looked good. Fair amount of meat. No complaints noted.
We both agreed that there was nothing here to warrant another visit. Who needs a server having a bad day when eating out?
