Food: 3 out of 5 stars. The menu is very simple, which is nice for those who get overwhelmed with choices. As some might say, it’s pub food, not super special, but not bad either. I had the pulled pork fries and the Italian beef. The pulled pork fries were okay, my only critique is that the pork tasted more like a slab of ham than pulled pork. It was also slightly dry. The Italian beef was not what I was expecting. You get a little plastic cup of Au jus that tasted nothing like any au jus I’ve ever had before. If the au jus would have been a normal au jus dip, I would give the sandwich a 4 out of 5 stars, but that wasn’t the case. 2 out of 5 is what I have to give it.
Beers: As it is a brewery, I had to get a flight and give them a try. I had their IPA, the Dark Mex, Hiefenfezer (sp) I forgot to take a picture of the beer menu, so forgive me, and one other beer I can’t recall the name of.
The IPA, mm mm chef’s kiss! Pretty sure that’s the smoothest best tasting IPA I’ve ever had. 5 out of 5 stars.
The Dark Mex, 4 out of 5. It has some interesting notes of chocolate and cherry.
The Hiefenfezer….I really don’t know how to rate this one. I’ve had many different beers, but this one takes the cake on being different. It definitely was not my cup of tea with how potent the taste was, but some people may like it. The waitress told me it has notes of bananas and clove. While you definitely taste the banana at the start, the clove was so overpowering afterwards that I couldn’t even finish it. I described it as harder to drink than a shot of whiskey.
The beer I can’t remember the name of, 4 out of 5. I know this isn’t super helpful, but it is currently number 7 on the beer menu at the time of this review.
Okay, with all that out of the way, on to service.
Service was top notch! The lady that served us was very attentive and answered all my questions about the beer menu. 5 out of 5!
Atmosphere, so the main dining room is super cool. Has a medieval bar kind of feel. It is small though with the bar being the centerpiece of the room. About 15 tables in total. Now I did find out that they have another dining room that is smaller as well as the patio that they will open up during the summer. So I’m sure that will add a bit of extra cheer to the atmosphere. 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Here’s the good; Everybody on staff that I interacted with were INCREDIBLY kind and welcoming. It was also very clean, which is a major plus compared to other places in Plymouth. The service was also very quick. Job very well done! The menu isn’t very big, which is good for people like me who sometimes have a hard time picking something to eat. That could be a plus or minus depending on who you are, though. Here’s the not-so good; The food and beer that I had were pretty unremarkable. I tried one beer, which was their one and only IPA. I can’t quite remember the name of it, but it had something to do with “Koontz Lake”. I love IPAs, but I really didn’t care for this one. I’m not sure if it’s just the batch, but there was very little flavor or noticeable hops to this IPA- it’s also quite weak clocking in at 5% ABV. I also ordered the french dip sandwich and a side of sweet potato fries, and while I’m certainly no chef, I’ll say that this meal was sort of bland and has a lot of room for improvement. I’ll close the negatives with one last thing, I would recommend against sitting at the bar if you are taller than 5 1/2 ft. There is virtually no legroom at all, and my lower back hurt after only about 25-30 minutes sitting there.
In closing, I’ll certainly be back sometime in the future to see how the place evolves over time. It’s always nice to get a new place to eat in Plymouth.
