Food was delicious and fresh! We were driving across Kansas on to our destination the day before Thanksgiving and they were bustling busy but still had great service and food. Also, folks had ordered Thanksgiving meals and pies and they had an entire tent full of dinners for pickup. Bigger restaurant than expected and was not disappointed by the daily specials (Bierock and Loaded Baked Potato).

Well, small-town hospitality & good eatin’ still exists!

Great little place, charming decor, super friendly (including the other patrons) & wonderful food.

The homemade sausage was terrific, the cinnamon bread was divine, & the coffee was wonderful. The huge portion & quality helped offset the price, but you really can’t complain with such a wonderful meal. The only problem is… I’m so full!

I wish I lived closer so I could come back soon! THANK YOU for a great experience!!

Best food in the area. Stopped in for early lunch and I am so happy I did. This is some of the best home cooking in the area. Don’t forget to get your homemade pie slice before you head out or get it with ice cream while you’re there. I had the open face roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes under it and cheesy green beans on the side. Then I couldn’t leave without picking up a piece of peach pie, lemon pie, almond Joy pie. Seriously try it.

I can overall only give one star and thats sad. Second shifters who have to sleep till 1-2pm can never go and that lets out a whole lot of people. If I ever do have the day/time available and make it there before 2pm I’ll be happy to change my review. This isn’t the only restaurant in the area that does this.

Met a friend there for lunch yesterday to swap out horses and we were pleasantly surprised. Delicious food, friendly serve, neighborhood café atmosphere. Parking lot was big enough for pickup and trailers and room to get around. If we didn’t live an hour and a half away we would be there for breakfast this morning. We will definitely stop again when we are headed that way.

We had an exceptional experience. I brought a group of high school debate students. Food, staff, and even fellow customers who took an interest were all delightful. The Kitchen Table helped us be successful!

Great place to stop for a quick lunch on the way to the lake. Service was very quick and efficient. ORDER one of the Specials! My lunch special was 2 bbq balls served with cheese potatoes and green beans and a roll. Great tast. One of my friends got The brisket sandwich which looked better than mine. He said it was perfectly cooked and the very flavorful with 2 big hunks of brisket. Another friend got the hamburger. LOL. He said it tastes like a precooked burger so pass on that.

Great small town diner with ample parking. The place is very clean and maintained very well. Order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. Great home cooking dishes. Fresh rolls and strawberry jam. I don’t now how to describe the jam… It was so good. I’ve never had any jam that was even close to it. The BBQ beans are excellent. I didn’t get any pie but everyone raved about it. Especially the bumbleberry pie. I will get some next time. They are not open weekends or for supper, so be sure to check before driving to Fredonia, but make sure you do. The drive is well worth it. Highly recommend.

Not a bad place. I see the posts on Facebook a lot and decided to try. No Mac and cheese so that was a negative. I had potatoes salad and a pulled chicken sandwich. Aside from the sandwich being very flat it was a good meal. A little pricey $15 for a side and sandwich in small town America.
