The food was, overall, great.
Lettuce Wraps: These were a fantastic start—fresh, flavorful, and a great texture mix.
Seafood (Pad Thai style): This dish had shrimp and seared scallops and was incredibly appetizing, and the rich sauce and fresh sprouts made for a lovely main course.
The Steak: My husband ordered a steak, and while the first one was slightly overdone, the server and kitchen handled the situation with remarkable grace. They prepared a replacement immediately and ensured it was cooked exactly to his liking. This level of responsiveness was amazing and speaks volumes about their commitment to service
The atmosphere is beautiful—elegant, modern, and lively without being overwhelmingly loud, creating a sophisticated backdrop for dinner.
The cocktails were outstanding!!!

Since I was celebrating my birthday, the restaurant very kindly provided us with a complementary dessert! It was a beautiful touch to end the meal.
The dessert, which was a bread was visually stunning, topped with a scoop of ice cream and crisp, decorative wafer. My only slight wish was that the bread pudding was warm; however, it was still a lovely and thoughtful gesture.
The service was excellent throughout the entire evening! Thank you.

My first time experiencing this lovely place. The atmosphere was great. The service was good The waiter had knowledge on the most popular items. I had the crab cakes and pepperoni pizza as appetizers and they were great. The drink I ordered was perfect the alcohol ratio was on point my entrée was the shrimp and scallops Pad Thai noodles and it was the best. I’ll go back and try others next time.

We came in late evening for appetizers and drinks. The place was deserted. Our server took our order quickly and brought our drinks, but the appetizers took some time to arrive and then, when we wanted to order a second round later, finding someone to take our order became impossible.

Came in on a late Friday night, right after the dinner rush, and the whole place felt calm and unrushed.

Started with the 50/50 cocktail, which was balanced and bold. Then got their mushroom pizza: rich, savory, and perfectly cooked with fresh arugula on top. Finished with the Asian salad which had just enough heat to keep things interesting. Tried a bit of the lettuce wraps which were spicy enough to catch me off guard, in a good way.

This spot is perfect if you’re looking for a chill spot with delicious food and tasty drinks.

We were in town to attend a concert & ate dinner at The Kitchen. We had a reservation and seated right on time. The view of the Grand River from our table was fabulous. The decor and ambience inside the restaurant was very nice. Our server, Jenna, did an outstanding job. She made sure our drinks were filled throughout our entire meal. She perfectly timed the arrival of our appetizer, salad, and entrees and we had plenty of time to get to our scheduled concert. The food was scrumptious. The crab cake appetizer was literally the best I have ever eaten. I highly recommend eating here if you are in the area.

Long wait for food. We were given water that was room temperature with no ice. Last time I had room temperature water was in a 3rd world country. Food was beautiful when it arrived. Taste was okay but did not justify the price. Waiter was fine but paid way more attention to my husband than to me even though I paid the bill. For dessert my husband chose the chocolate souffle which was excellent. But the vanilla ice cream I ordered was almost tasteless. Since I make vanilla ice cream at home I was curious as to how tasty it would be at such a high priced restaurant. It was very disappointing.
We were with good friends which made the evening delightful. And the view of the river was just beautiful! But the food definitely should have been better.

Good wagyu burger, great fries. Fine dining atmosphere and good service.

– Wagyu Burger: Honestly, it was a bit underwhelming. I paid more for a burger here than anywhere else, but it was nowhere above most any other burger I would have spent $10 less elsewhere. That said, it was a decent burger, but it was cold by the time I ate it. I ate the fries first since NORMALLY those cool a lot faster, but don’t make that same mistake. The burger cools faster in this case.

I asked for it to be cooked medium and it was medium to medium raw (which is fine to me) and it was a decent quality. I’ve had a couple of other wagyu burger to compare it to and this one was at the bottom of that list, but only marginally so.

The bacon aioli was a small nuance of flavor. The onion marmalade dominated the flavor with its tang and savory addition. The lettuce and tomato were very fresh (and I suspect part of the reason the burger cooled faster). The white cheddar is not a favorite of mine, but was actually really good in this combination.

– Fries: The fries were amazing! They are thinner cut with a slight batter coating (I am guessing). They were served hot and with a lot of salt which I usually complain about, but was actually good in this case. The amount of flavor that the salt brings out actually was warranted. They probably have my favorite fries in town.

– Service: VERY professional and quiet. They are there to make sure you have everything you need while staying out of the way. Everything was picture perfect.

They are very strict about sticking to the schedule. We were not let in a minute earlier than 3pm. That said, they were very pleasant greeting us and seating us. The waiter was cool and knowledgeable.

– Atmosphere: Polished for sure. They have a reputation to uphold and they nail it. There were a few scratches on tables and chairs. However, everything was very organized and in their places. At 3pm, we almost had the whole place to ourselves!

The view of the Grand River is amazing! The lobby outside the restaurant is pleasant as well.

– Conclusion: While I am sure their other menu items are astounding and everything else about this restaurant is great, I wouldn’t highly recommend their burger. If you read my reviews, this is my angle and specialty in Grand Rapids. I do look forward to stopping by again and maybe trying their other menu items.

Visited 3-4pm on a Saturday.
