I went to The Kitchen on Friday morning for my birthday breakfast with my family, and the veggie omelet I had was amazing. I bragged about it so much that I encouraged my family to go back today. Unfortunately, the experience was nothing like before.
Two days later, I ordered the same omelet through Uber Eats, and it looked completely different — tossed together, poorly made, and nowhere near the quality I had just enjoyed. I also ordered breakfast potatoes and was given grits instead. Yes, it was 3 PM, but the restaurant advertises breakfast all day, so the quality shouldn’t drop off.
The wings we received looked like they had been cooked much earlier in the day, and overall the food was a huge disappointment. I really wish we had just cooked at home. The difference between my photos says it all.

OMG! Food was DELICIOUS! Some of the best pancakes I’ve ever had! Salmon patties reminded me of Grandma’s house. Grits, breakfast potatoes, and flounder were very good as well. Will definitely be back whenever in Douglasville! Sorry no pics of Salmon. Couldn’t help myself when the plate hit the table.

I had the Fried Fish Breakfast. The fish was fried to perfection and seasoned just right, the eggs melted in my mouth, and don’t get me started on the grits………so creamy and savory, it’s a delight in and of itself…….and Y’all they buttered and browned BOTH sides of the toast……..some places don’t do that. Most importantly, the hospitality of this place makes you feel right at home. Will definitely plan to visit next time I’m in the area.

Really good service. Food was good. We found this place through IG. My partner enjoyed the fish platter which definitely had lemon zest or something similar in the batter. The hush puppies reminded me of Stover’s herb & garlic stuffing, not my favorite but my partner liked them. The sweet potato fries were soft but seasoned well. The brisket sausage and smash burger were really good and the buns were lightly buttered and toasted. The fried okra and french fries were good too.
We wanted to dine in but space was limited. There were about a dozen patrons seated and two more bodies would’ve made it an elbow to elbow situation but the place had a nice, soulful vibe.

The service was great. I was weary of the wait time after we placed our food order. It only took about twenty minutes not bad at all. My fish sandwich was real good. I love that they use real cheese instead of cheese sauce for the Mac. My husband liked his fish platter. I brought my own hot sauce lol. He was not a fan of the sweet potato pie. But overall good experience.

I did a Google search for breakfast and came across The Kitchen bar and grill. For $10 I received a good amount of food on the pancake platter…. I got 2 pancakes, creamy grits, and no bacon extra potatoes….I should have got extra grit because they were phenomenal. Restaurant was clean and the dining area is nice and spacious….The pancakes are huge crispy and good … potatoes are seasoned. Customer service and the owner was great. I appreciate you all and I will definitely be back. See video below.

Hands down the best Mac and chz around! I am a vegetarian and love cheese! They do not disappoint! My kids had the Smash Burger with Bacon and Chz. My son finished before I could ask if it was good! A nice little duck off place with some smiling warm charm! Check em out!

My wife went here on Black Friday and had a fish sandwich that she raved about. Today, 12/4/25, we decided to order through DoorDash this evening. I got the Grilled Beef Brisket Sausage which mentions burnt ends in the description. My vision was a sausage on a hoagie with beef brisket burnt ends on top based on the description. What I got was a $24 hotdog. I called and they said that’s what it was. We’ll try this place again but I think this description could be better. Please see images.

amazing. amazing. AMAZING!! LyLy was our server and we kept her running but she gave us awesome service nonetheless. the food was amazing! drinks were on point! some of the best fish I’ve ever had. I love it here. If I ever visit ATL again, I’ll be making the drive to get some nice food because I was not disappointed
