All 4 stars for service go to our waiter who was excellent! The rest was so-so. For food, the coconut shrimp and crispy squid were really nice but the entrees, I’m not sure what I was expecting but I was a bit disappointed. The King & I fried rice I ordered came with 1 single piece of tomato, it was low-key funny. I asked to take the onions out, but there were no vegetables in the rice and I thought that was weird. I get that the kitchen was short staffed that day but that fried rice was very disappointing. The noodles we got was good. Spicy at level 4 was not as bad as I thought it would be. Our food was slow, so slow they eventually gave us one item for free because we waited so long. I would like to go back on a day when they are fully staffed and not so busy. Just to see if it would be any different.

I ordered online and the service was really fast! I got the Pud Thai with chicken. My only complaint/regret is not calling and asking about the spicy levels. I got level 1(coward/medium) because the next lowest was 0, no spice. If you like spicy then ignore my comment haha I’m a wimp but I do like a touch of spice, this was pretty spicy. So I guess just beware if you’re a wimp like me. I was also a little disappointed at the size for the price..

I have been here multiple times over the years and the food and service has never disappointed. The BEST tom kha soup I have ever had!
Although I don’t currently live in Milwaukee anymore, I made a point to stop back in again as it had been my favorite restaurant of the area. Kelly provided excellent service and was so genuine and friendly it made the whole experience even more worthwhile (besides the incredible food). My friends and I enjoyed talking with Kelly so much that we decided to stay at the bar for the immaculate vibes. Very attentive in their service and great recommendations on dinner.

Great Thai food, all the classics are represented and delicious. I enjoyed the Pad See Euw, and really like their spice scale: makes it clear what you’re getting. A 2 was plenty for my tastes!
Great decor, and clean bathrooms as well. The hand dryer is a bit weak, though.
Service was not great, and the biggest reason for a loss of a star. Our waitress was absent for almost the entire meal. I had to chase her down for refills and the cheque. She wasn’t rude, just an airhead, I think.
But we’ll be back, hopefully with a new server!

We were really excited to try the King & I. We love Thai food. The service was good, but the food not so much. The soup (Tom Kha) and the fried rice (basil) were bland and worse, lukewarm. The Thai rolls were flavorless as well (but hot). The volcano duck and the red curry were just okay. The Thai Jerky was nice, but the sauce was inedible. I think it was just lime juice and nothing else. We added it to the fried rice to add some flavor, so I guess not all was lost. The table was sticky and the chair cushion was stained and not even attached to the chair. Add on the predatory parking amount ($25) and we won’t be back. Its a shame. I had always heard such good things.

Interesting experience. I believe this restaurant is catering to a more Americanized palate and audience. The pad thai was missing some key elements and had an over powering tamarind flavor. Did you guys use Gordon Ramsey’s pad thai recipe? The history of the building and the structure was very cool.

We did carry out. Based on reviews I was expecting out of this world Thai. I had the volcano chicken. Huge positive- sauce is on the side. I love being able to add the amount of sauce to my meal. It was good but I wish I had gone spicier. Be sure to follow the spice guide. It was good, but I like my food with more kick. I would have for sure gotten a 3 as a minimum. That said the vegetable rolls were outstanding!! I highly recommend the peanut sauce too. Good Food? Yes. Gotta have write home about it? No.

We ordered the $35 fried snapper. Honestly, It was horrible. We waited for long time and itye fish dish finally served. It’s apparently over fried and almost not edible. Only noodle and fried rice are decent. Service is good. Will I go back again? Definitely no.

First, the place is beautifully stunning. The food lives up to award winning, and the service was topnotch. I absolutely would recommend.

I have to start by saying, “I dont usually like Thai food”. But this place changed my mind entirely and now I’m not sure if they’ve ruined me for future Thai food or if it’s just “this place”. While staying at the nearby hotel, this place was recommended by work collegues so I thought I’d try it. First, when you walk in the place is impeccably decorated and transports you to a whole different world. You don’t feel like you’re in Milwaukee. You can tell peoole care about this business and spent a great amount of love and hard work making a dream come true. So if the ambiance doesn’t sweep you away, the food is thr best I’ve had in the Eastern food milieu. Really. There’s a large selection of items and the portion sizes are beyond expected. I can normally put down a king cut prime rib no problem- but had a hard time finishing my volcano chicken and cream cheese wonton. I got my food to go this time, but look forward to taking my hubby there when he arrives. Bottom line: if you’re not eating Thai food here, you’re missing out!
