First things first. The baristas? Amazing. Always friendly and if they see me coming and are not too slammed they start on my coffee order before I reach the counter.
The frustrating part? The espresso machine being broken that I know of twice in less than a week. Then it seems they are having to close early because they can’t serve customers the majority of their menu. It is really a shame for the customers as well as the baristas as I can’t imagine trying to do my job with broken equipment on a consistent basis.
I remember when Kidd first opened in the tower and Lane (who I understand to be the owner) was there serving customers on a consistent basis. I haven’t seen him there in a long time and maybe the lack of his presence or communication with the employees is keeping him out of touch.
I certainly hope things turn around soon so they can retain their customers before the Starbucks opens across the street.

I love Kidd Coffee, I’ve been going to this location since it opened! The staff is always insanely nice, and service is better than any other coffee shop in downtown.

I took my classroom by Kidd coffee on our way to see a musical at Taft Theater and they were amazing! My students all have autism and new places can be difficult. Not only were they welcoming of all of us, the atmosphere was nice and relaxing and the young woman helping us was amazing! The coffee and tea that we tried was quite tasty as well!

This is one of my favorite spots downtown. Today the folks were working their absolute buns off, and appeared to be dealing with some issues with a smile on their face. The breakfast sandwiches are yummy, I recommend a turkey sausage egg and cheese everything bagel. The coffee is crafted fresh and they’re open five days a week. I’ll be back for sure.
