Food was great and our server Ari was excellent and very courteous. My girlfriend brought me here as it was my first time. Mozzarella bites, Bobby fries and fried pickles were delicious. Drinks were great as well. Thanks!

I’ve always enjoyed The Kickin’ Chicken at other locations, so I figured I’d give this one a try while we were in the area. The restaurant itself looks great — plenty of space, a fun bar setup, and a family‑friendly vibe with games for kids. It definitely looks like the kind of place you’d want to hang out for a casual meal.

The experience, though, was a bit uneven. The TVs were cranked up so loud that it felt more like a sports bar during playoffs than a place to sit and enjoy dinner. Our food came out warm, not hot, and you could tell it had been sitting for a minute. The Bobby fries were barely melted, and my quesadilla was mostly corn, which isn’t how I’ve had it at other Kickin’ Chicken spots. My husband liked his wings, but even those weren’t as fresh as they should’ve been.

On the positive side, our server was kind and worked hard the whole time. He seemed stretched thin, but he stayed polite and checked on us when he could.

Overall, it wasn’t a terrible visit, but it didn’t live up to the quality we’re used to from this brand. For the price, I expected a little more consistency. I might give it another shot down the road, but it wouldn’t be my first pick.

First time going and everything was really good. We had 2 different chicken sandwiches and pork carnitas tacos. I do wish the tacos could come with a side of slaw to add some crunch but everything was very good. We also had the shrimp appetizer and that was really good too. (Forgot to take a pick of that) I like that it’s spacious and not overly loud so you can hold a conversation without having to speak so loudly. The service was good and would definitely go back.

I recently stopped by Kickin’ Chicken in West Ashley, Charleston, South Carolina, and I have to say it was a genuinely outstanding experience from start to finish.
I ordered the chicken tenders with French fries and chose the Korean barbecue sauce, and it absolutely delivered. The chicken tenders were perfectly cooked — hot, juicy, and tender on the inside with a satisfying, well-seasoned crunch on the outside. These weren’t frozen, forgettable tenders; they tasted fresh, carefully prepared, and clearly made with quality in mind. The French fries were just as impressive: crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned just right. They complemented the chicken perfectly without stealing the spotlight.
The real star for me, though, was the Korean barbecue sauce. It was remarkable — a great balance of sweet, savory, and just the right hint of heat. It elevated the entire meal and turned something familiar into something memorable. It’s the kind of sauce you find yourself slowing down for, just to enjoy each bite.
Beyond the food, the atmosphere and service really stood out. The staff was genuinely friendly, attentive, and welcoming without feeling rushed or forced. The restaurant itself was clean, bright, and well-maintained, which always makes a difference in how enjoyable a meal feels.
Overall, Kickin’ Chicken in West Ashley nailed it — great food, great service, and a comfortable, clean environment. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back, not just for the menu, but for the whole experience. Highly recommended.

Ordered “naked” wings and a fried appetizer for a home watch party. To prevent soggy food, I wanted to order for pickup at a specific time. The website is unable to accomplish this as ASAP ordering is required.
After a great call, the staff reassured me that the order would be ready at the precise time. It was ready 20 minutes early-normally a great thing, but not for fried food in a Togo box added ontop of the undesired rush when planning a party.
To The Chicken’s great bennefit, food quality is great. I just wish I didnt have to reheat/dry it at home to enjoy.
The ability to order food within a time window isnt novel. A quality restaurant like The Chicken should be able to accomplish this and I hope they will.

Fried pickles 2/10 even when oven reheated due to batter falling off.
Wings 9/10
Sauces 10/10
Staff friendliness 10/10
Cleanliness 10/10
Ordering capability 3/10

My workplace had a get-together here, and I can’t say enough good things about the service we received. I dealt with the manager, Sam, on the phone a few times, and each time she was just lovely and extremely accommodating. Upon arrival at the restaurant, Sam had our tables set up just as promised, walked me over to them, and introduced me to our server, Arie. I was beyond impressed with Arie’s demeanor and the way she handled our large group. I do not know how she remembered 30+ people’s drinks, but she did. I was a server myself for 10+ years and can’t remember the last time I was “wowed” or this impressed by the service I saw Arie give. Thank you to Sam and Arie for making this a great night. I will definitely be back to see y’all again!

I really enjoyed the food here. The portions were great, and it is a kid-friendly place. Next time I come to town with my wife, I will be bringing her to eat here. It is dine in, but I would compare it to a High-End Zaxbys, if they added a sports bar. The flavors were great, the servers were attentive and it made for a great place to enjoy a lunch break.

I dropped the review stars due to belief of over charging. Tried sending email to store directly, but it wouldn’t go through. Sent email to email address listed for feedback, and I’ll be awaiting response.
If I’d kept the receipt, I’d give full information, but didn’t get a final when offered.
My total for 6 people, during half off appetizers, with only 2 entrees= $133
There was a discount given through my friends app / points connection, but that still seems to not have added up to being charged $12.99 for 2 sauces.

First time, place was well seasoned and I worried a bit. Great first experience and great food. I can see it being really busy during the summer months and was glad to have a had a slower experience when we visited. Wings were great, burgers as well, cold beer and company. Thank you Kickin’ Chicken!
