AVOID! I should have smelt a rat when the fish butty was so cheap! Tiny piece of fish, not a full fillet, like any proper chip shop would serve. Fish had the skin AND scales still on. It also tasted disgusting, it was clearly cooked in old oil! The bread was a brioche burger bun! Who the hell wants an excuse of a fish in a sweet burger bun? This place is horrendous, should be closed down. AVOID THIS PLACE!

Me and my partner have both had upset stomachs when eating from here, thought it may have been a one off but happened again from last nights order, possibly from the cold chicken meat that was served in our mixed kebab.
Definitely won’t be having food from here again.

Daylight robbery at its finest….. they are expensive for sure which i wouldnt mind too much if the food and portions was great but ita far fron that. My first visit and definitely will be my last. Almost 5 pounds for tiny chips curry sauce and cheese. Like i say ill be avoiding and advise the rest of to aswell

Owner was very nice, and gave me a free battered sausage with my meal. Haddock was lovely and chips were perfectly cooked. Curry sauce was really good, but could increase the size of a large cup. 5*

I’ve lived in the village for around 5 years and have been a regular user of the fish bar.
90% of the time the food is great, but occasionally issues occur. Mostly this seemed to be down to inexperienced staff. Recently this seems to have improved ad I haven’t had any cause for complaint and I am happy to recommend them again to friends.

This has got to be the worst chippy I’ve ever been to, chips tasteless, powdery and anemic, curry sauce like wallpaper paste and battered sausage really poor quality, and to top it off the batter tasted fishy (obviously old oil being used to fry them in).
And then had the privilege of paying £7.50 for an inedible excuse for food.
Never again.

Sorry but won’t be going back there ever again.
Large battered sausage was so hard, batter was horrible, think it had been there since lunchtime. Large Cod was also dried out and overcooked, plus on arrival home found Chicken Mushroom pie had been left out.
So not only inedible food but not received some or paid for items.

Disgusting!! Who in there right mind puts curry sauce on chips then wraps it in paper!! Never seen this ever! And has to be the most expensive fish bar I have seen!! Do not eat here!!

We ordered fish and chips for delivery at 5:25 it finally arrived at 7pm.
I wish I had driven to East Leake Fish and Chips instead. It would have been cheaper, nicer, and a lot quicker!
