We came a little too early for our 12pm reservation. It was cold outside, thankfully they have the heater outside, one of the Managers (Spencer) offered for us to stay inside to stay warm, super nice and thoughtful!
The atmosphere, the ambience and the settings are relaxing.
It was very easy to find a parking during lunch.
The host sat us in right away.
Our server (Sidney) was very friendly and fast.
The food: The free bread was good.
We ordered calamari, crab cake and scallops for our appetizers was really good.
My daughter had a Risotto for the first time, she likes it.
My partner had a prime rib sandwich which was good.
I had a mushroom stir loin with mushroom rice, the steak was amazing but the mushroom rice is missing some spices. After putting a little salt it got better.

Kaito! This guy is genuinely friendly. Knowledgeable about the menu with great suggestions. We came on a rainy day and where offered the Roof Top Dinning, so grateful we said yes. The vibe is chill with well put together spots for dinning. Fireplaces and heaters keep you warm, with great city views and a covered patio kept us dry. You feel like you are in private cabanas. Very V.I.P. Go for some drinks or enjoy a great selection of dishes. This is a great hidden gem. Bring your squad or take a date, you will not be disappointed. They have great Happy Hour deals but we arrived after it was over but the prices are fair for the quality of the food.

Came here for a birthday celebration and was honestly surprised. The service felt passive aggressive and rushed, and the food quality was not good overall. I had a great experience here a couple of years ago, which made this visit especially disappointing.
First impression
Complimentary cheese bread portions were noticeably smaller. Still okay, but reduced, and it set the tone for the meal.
Starters
Escargot was surprisingly tasteless.
Garlic shrimp was very average, nothing memorable.
Neptune mushrooms did not taste the same as before.

Risotto was extremely overcooked and soaked in grease, far from al dente.
Rib sandwich was overly fatty and heavy.
Winter special steak was disappointing overall, though the meat itself was decent.
Dessert
A birthday cake was provided, but it was not good.
Crème brûlée was also very poor and not enjoyable.
Desserts felt careless rather than celebratory.
Service
The server was passive aggressive, rushed, and moody.
Questions about the menu were brushed off.
I felt pushed toward more expensive items.
The table was left unattended for long periods.
When asked how everything was, there was no real interest in listening.
There was no special attention for a birthday table.
More generally, the service lacked basic awareness and etiquette. It felt very transactional, focused on speed and numbers rather than people. There was no clear sense of order or consideration for who should be served first or how servers positioned themselves at the table. I understand this is not a fine dining restaurant, but it was still noticeable and uncomfortable.
The hosts at the entrance were kind and welcoming, and unfortunately the only positive service interaction.
Final thoughts
Prices have gone up, which is understandable, but the experience did not match the cost. I used to enjoy coming here for celebrations, but after this visit, I would not choose it again. There are many other well known restaurants nearby offering a better overall experience.

My wife and myself have had a reservation for 6:30 pm . Upon arrival we were greeted by the staff and seated at our table without any delays. The lady that took our orders was very friendly and helpful.My wife has ordered a steak and I have ordered a prime rib. Both plates were cooked to protection and we have really enjoyed these dishes. The portions were very generous and we couldn’t finish them.The atmosphere was very pleasant and comfortable.

I was celebrating my birthday with my family. We ordered some appetizers (Mushroom Neptune and Scallops & Bacon) with the Keg Steak Platter as our main dishes. The mushroom neptune was good, with torched-cheese cream and crab on the top of the mushroom. The platter served us good portion of steak slices with Mignon, Sirloin, and Striploin. The servier was so nice and immediately offered us free cake for birthday celebration. The atmosphere was cozy. Very good experience.

I had such a fantastic experience at The Keg in Yaletown! Even without a reservation, I was able to walk in and get a table for one, and the staff were beyond welcoming and kind. Service was absolutely incredible, friendly, attentive, and genuinely made me feel comfortable dining solo!!
The food came out quickly, piping hot, and perfectly prepared. I’ve always been obsessed with the Mushrooms Neptune, and they did not disappoint, as always!! Even though I’m not usually a big seafood person, these are always such a treat: rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. Paired with a fresh Caesar salad and warm bread, everything hit the spot.

My partner and I went to the Keg Yaletown on Saturday for a “celebrate everything” dinner. Our anniversary, his birthday, and Christmas. Its been a rough year that’s ending well. We didn’t hold back. Seasonal drinks, appies – the stuffed yorkshire pudding and shrimp cocktail. A nice bottle of wine. 10 oz Bleu cheese filets for each of us, and some snow crab legs, of course. After dinner drinks and dessert rounded out the evening. Everything was perfect. The service from the moment we entered the restaurant to leaving was so warm and welcoming. The food and drink was excellent, and the atmosphere was festive and hopping. A total 5 star experience all around Well done! We cant wait to return!.
