Service was friendly and the ambiance is nice and cozy.

The complimentary bread was warm and paired with their three-cheese whipped butter, which was a great touch. I also love the Billy Miner pie, and the chocolate mint at the end is always a nice little bonus.

The calamari was just okay. Most of the entrees were fine, but I would skip the lobster tails since they were a bit dry and rubbery. The prime rib meal was also just okay, and I’d pass on the baked potato.

Overall, the highlights for me were definitely the bread, the pie, and the chocolate mint.

Really really had high expectations at this location, considering we usually go to Maple Ridge, wanted to try Abbotsford. Before I address the food, I want to say that having to wait 1 hour & 17 minutes for our dinner to arrive was not at all enjoyable. We arrived hungry and ordered our appies & salad to be served same time. Those came at a decent time, but my baked garlic shrimp were extremely rubbery with little cheese & partners calamari was not crispy, but rather greesy. Ceasar salads limp & not chilled.

We then waited…..& waited & waited….. 1 hour from the time they took our appy plates until our meals arrived. Our steaks were undercooked and wrong accompaniment on husband’s plate. We had to send them back to be cooked to how we had asked . That took time waiting once again. When they came back, they were overcooked Our server didn’t even care when this was addressed. Didn’t offer to rectify a thing at all!

We were originally going to share a dessert, but decided to leave based on honestly just wanting to get out of there. It felt like our business didn’t matter, because after all, another paying customer/s would come in right after anyway. Surely disappointing. $190 dollars & left feeling annoyed. Certainly not how any $200 night out should feel.

Pretty busy on a Saturday night, we waited for 45 minutes without a reservation. Staff brought sample appetizers to those waiting, and were very kind! Food is great and comes out fairly quickly for how busy they are!

ent to The Keg yesterday and had an absolutely wonderful evening—largely thanks to our server, Jen. She was outstanding from start to finish!

Jen greeted us with a warm smile, was super knowledgeable about the menu (helped us pick the perfect steaks and sides without any rush), and kept everything running smoothly even when the place got busy. Our drinks arrived quickly, she checked in at just the right moments, and the food came out perfectly timed and cooked exactly how we wanted.

Her attention to detail and genuine friendly vibe made the whole dinner feel special. It’s clear she loves what she does, and it really elevated our night out.

The steaks were delicious as always, the atmosphere cozy and upscale, but Jen was definitely the highlight. If you’re heading to this location, ask for her—you won’t be disappointed!

Highly recommend. Thanks again, Jen—you’re fantastic!

Worst experience at a Keg I have ever had. We were a party of 11 which had a reservation for 6pm. After arriving on time we were told our table would be seated as soon as possible. Fast forward 10 min. We asked and were told they were getting the table ready. Part of our party were 2 children and 1 elderly adult. We weren’t impressed as we were told when making the reservation the time is only held for 15 min before the table becomes available to others. Five minutes later the the table was made available where we were informed we would get 3 appetizers for no charge. Seems a little low as we were a party of 11. After seating and getting menus it took over 15 minutes for the waiter to arrive and get drinks ordered. After 30 minutes of nothing the drinks finally arrived. They also brought minimal waters. The orders were then placed as it has been almost 45 min of sitting and waiting for the drinks. The drinks were all good. We then were expecting and waiting for the bread to arrive. After about 15 more minutes we were informed the bread was in the oven as they ran out of bread. I don’t understand how a restaurant that prides themselves on service and bread runs out, especially when a known party of 11 is coming. After a little over 1 hour of waiting the appetizers finally made there way out of the kitchen. The appetizers were all great although given any food after this duration of waiting might have skewed the opinions. Fast forward another 30 minutes the waiter returned to the table. One guest was informed they ran out of chicken and wanted to get a substitute order. I’m not sure why but he returned without a menu in hand. The waiter also confused who ordered what and finally asked if the guest wanted their steak cut or whole. After about 2 to 2-1/2 hours after arrival the food finally arrived. Most guests were happy with their orders while others didn’t eat much given the duration, hunger and bread that was served. My steak, The winter menu featured T-Bone was ordered medium rare. It was cooked rare one the edges and purple raw at the bone. It was tough and unappetizing.

I have been to almost all other Keg locations in the metro area and have never had an experience as bad as this one.

To summarize:
– Why was a party of 11 reserved if there would be issues handling this
– Where was the manager as we never saw him or were informed of any status or that the kitchen was behind.
– Why would only 3 appetizers be covered. This should have been half of the table at a minimum.
– Why did it take three hours total to seat and plate 11 people.
– To me it was clear this was understaffing, unpreparedness, and general mismanagement.

Most of the guests as well as myself are unwilling to return to this location. It needs serious attention.

Great food great times great service. The only thing I didn’t care for was there was quite a bit of ice in my drink which was that turmeric spice drink.

I recently dined at The Keg in Abbotsford, and they reminded me exactly why they are a staple for a great steak dinner. From the moment we walked in, the experience was seamless and satisfying.
The Breakdown:
• Perfectly Cooked Steaks: The kitchen knows exactly what they’re doing. My steak was seasoned beautifully and cooked exactly to my liking—rarely do you find a spot that hits the temperature that precisely.
• Freshness You Can Taste: You can tell they aren’t cutting corners. From the crisp greens to the high-quality cuts of meat, the fresh ingredients really shine through.
• Top-Tier Service: The customer service was excellent. Our server was attentive without being hovering, and they even proactively offered us extra bread for free, which is always a win in my book.
• The Sweet Finish: Make sure you save room for dessert! The portions are very generous—definitely big enough to share, though you might not want to once you taste it.

Was pretty disappointed.
Came here with the kids for my wife’s birthday.
We like the keg, standard, reliable, no surprises. But it was a bit of a let down this time.
The server was awesome, friendly and helpful. It would’ve been a bit nicer to have the drinks filled a touch more, but we left a tip, he earned it.
The disappointment was really just the food.
My wife had the surf and turf, steak was fine, lobster was ok, maybe a touch dry, but nothing worth complaining about.
The boys got the burger kids meals, the patty was kinda a ball in the middle of the bun, but honestly again, average but they’re kids, they enjoyed themselves.
I got the blackened chicken with the Caesar salad and asparagus. The chicken tasted good but was sooo salty, I like salt, I think chips are great, but my stomach was starting to feel a bit sick by the end. The only other irritant was they didn’t trim the asparagus properly, so I had to spit out a piece of wood I was chewing on.

Truth be told, nothing was “unacceptable” (except the asparagus). But the keg is supposed to be a place to count on for celebration. It just felt like it’d starting to slide a bit. If we’re spending $200 on a meal for the wife and two kids it’s a disappointment when everything is basically “meh”
Really hoping it improves next time we go.

The keg never changes. Which isnt a bad thing you always know what you are in for. If you dont say something you will be in and out of there in 45 mins. They have such a quick turn over for tables. Definitely a little pricey for what you get these days. Our group was big 16 people and they did a great job. We had a few kids and they brought all the kids ice cream at the end which was really sweet.
Overall good experience tonight.

The food was great. The only complaint is the veggies were a little over salted. Portions were generous. Gained 2lbs after the meal.
