Stopped in at The Keep Tavern and had a great experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and our food came out in a timely manner. The drink selection was excellent — I tried the Homestead Oktoberfest on draft, and my wife had the Wyndridge Caramel Apple, on our server, Beth’s recommendation, she added the cinnamon sugar rim. Both were really good!
They also have an impressive bourbon selection for anyone who enjoys whiskey. We ordered the ham and cheese panini, which was delicious — it had just a little kick of spice that made it even better.
The atmosphere fits the name perfectly; it really feels like a cozy medieval tavern. Great place all around. We will definitely be back!

The service is so friendly and the owners are great. We had the pretzel bites & buffalo chicken dip tonight, along with some of the seasonal pumpkin drinks. They were all delicious.

We were on a girls trip and stumbled across this place on our way back from hiking in Mohican. The owners were so nice. They recommended specials on the menu and special drinks. The food and atmosphere was perfect for a group of girls looking to chat and eat together. We definitely will be back when in town again!

I’m legit charmed by this place. The staff are kind, the atmosphere is cozy, and the food is spot on. I love the hardwood tables and exposed brick walls. It’s a perfect place for a date night or a chill night out with a couple friends. While the menu isn’t super extensive, it includes enough staples that I’ll always have something new to try. And they change it up pretty often. The bar is well stocked, and they usually have a couple local/regional beers on tap. I’m looking forward to many more afternoons and evenings here. And as cool as it is when it’s warm outside, there’s something extra cozy about it during the winter. They do have a little patio section which looks very nice during the warmer months.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time tonight at The Keep! The food we ordered – the Italian Panini with a side salad (complete with a yummy house-made ranch dressing) and the Hot Honey Pepperoni Ricotta Flatbread came out at the perfect temp and tasted as good as they looked. John, our server, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and even whipped up a tasty mocktail that wasn’t highlighted on the menu. Before we left, the owner came out to ensure we had a positive experience and explain some of the history of the building. A very positive experience, and our party of 6 will be returning again soon!

We found this gem of a place by pure accident as we were coming through town after hiking in Mohican. The owners were incredibly kind and they gave recommendations on food specials and drink specials. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was exactly what a group of girls needed on a night out together! Highly recommend!

We are from Mt. Vernon. Duffers was our go to place. Surve in Sunbury second. We were not happy with the crumpled dirty “menu”, the actual menu or the wait for staff or the prices. We did not order from the menu. Darn it. Wish you would have not changed a thing. The combos rocked.
