Step into The Keep Kitchen & Liquor Bar and you’ll discover a chef-driven, modern brasserie with its own art deco cocktail bar. The atmosphere highlights the 1920’s ambience, while incorporating modern elements from the 21st century to give a contemporary vibe. The Keep was inspired by its location in the historic Leveque Tower, a 1927 structure that is known to be an art deco gem. The Keep’s cozy, inviting décor features gas lamps and rustic-refined furnishings, providing guests an invitation into a Roaring Twenties locale. It’s a comfortable, relaxed environment that suits casual dining as much as it does special occasions, parties, and business entertaining.

From the Caesar salad where you could taster every ingredient in the dressing, to some phenomenal steak frites (that lemon garlic Aioli was terrific) there’s not a lot you can go wrong with.
The Shrimp pasta with chorizo and peppers was so flavorful, Both of our drinks were very bright and smooth, and I am not exaggerating: You HAVE to get the crème brûlée!! Their new cinnamon and vanilla notes really made a delicious dish.
Staff were wonderful and fun, even in the chaos of a Saturday dinner rush. Restaurant looked quite nice, open concept was a nice touch. The only thing I will say is that the liquor bar next-door becomes very crowded very quickly, so plan accordingly and get yourself a reservation if you can. We will 100% be back to try the Brie fondue & some more items soon 🙂
We went here the night before Valentine’s Day and had a great meal and Greg was super nice explaining the dishes to us.
The desserts were very delicious also
Thanks!!
We had reservations and waited 10 minutes at the host stand before we were greeted by anyone. We stood for another 10 before being led to our seats.
At the table there was a wait until we received water, and one person was left without water. There was a heavy delay from ordering drinks until they arrived, and drinks sat empty for at least 20 minutes before being asked for a second round. Another heavy delay before they arrived. The second round came out when dessert was served.
The entire party agreed that the soups were the favorite of the night. The rest of the food was cooked well but doesn’t stand out, everything tastes like butter. We expected a bit more from this price point. Barcelona and Lindey’s come in at a similar cost but offer meals with a bit more character.
Happy to have tried it, don’t see ourselves coming back.
Upon arrival we waited noticeably longer to be seated than other parties who arrived around the same time. Once seated we experienced extended periods without service. I went over an hour without being asked if I’d like another drink. I also observed management checking in and greeting other tables while ours continued to go unattended.
While I stepped away briefly my wife attempted to gently raise concerns. Rather than receiving assistance or direction, the response left the decision of “what to do next” up to her, which only added to her discomfort. When she mentioned it was her birthday, just to help ensure we were being attended to, the response was brushed off with a quick explanation that the restaurant was busy. We understand busy days and nights working, we’re people too and know how it goes. This though felt like more than just an off evening. When the check was brought and processed by management personally, the birthday acknowledgment felt incredibly dismissive and condescending rather than celebratory.
What was meant to be a special night ended in disappointment.
Hotel LeVeque is always a must, and if you’re not stopping by The Keep for a cocktail or dinner, you’re doing it wrong. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening from start to finish.
What truly made the difference was the outstanding service. Starr was exceptional — attentive, kind, and genuinely caring, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. His professionalism and positive attitude elevated the entire dining experience.
Highly recommended. We will definitely be back!
When the bartender finally came over, he was standoffish- didn’t even greet me or apologize for the wait.
I’ve heard from others that the service here is poor, but I didn’t expect such rudeness or hostility. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, so I don’t think that the staff intended to come off this way, but it certainly was not a welcoming experience.
I will add that the cocktail was very good and the ambiance and setup was pretty cool! I’d love to say I’d come back but that’s not likely, as their service issues seem to be a known thing (see Yelp and Travel site reviews).
